Pyros lunges into the newly opened portal, uncomfortably close to the pair of towering undead; his topknot barely reaching their bony kneecaps. The surface on the inside of the statue and the 'floor' are crafted of the same adobe as the Ziggurat; though significantly less weathered in this hidden place

Jerry nods at Pytor, "You're welcome," and then turns to look for Merrick to give him a "You're special! And don't worry!" smile.

When Pyros, as might have been expected, jumps in the bird hole, Jerry asks, "Maybe the floor opens somehow. Can you have a look, please?" Meanwhile, she turns her attention to the tier around the bird and looks for signs of anything moveable. (secret doors, moving stonework etc) other tt what is already known about the bird.

Pyros takes a closer look at the giant skeletons. Aside from their size, they seem quite similar to the other undead. They seem utterly uncocerned with the Kender's inspection.
Jerry begins to search the platform outside, but finds nothing of note.

Curious, Adran ascends to the statue itself and peers inside. He blinks in surprise at the skeletons, but their inactivity assuages his apprehension slightly. Find anything? He asks others at the top.

After curiosity of the skeletons is filled, he will start to look around at the walls. Any doors, or compartments? Space to move around?

Pyros begins to search the interior structure, periodically distacted by the massive skeletons. Adran lends his own attention to the search. After a few minutes, he points out a place where Pyros' foot scraped aside some dust. Beneath is a thin, straight seam so full of dusty clay as to be almost invisible. Gently he brushes around the edges to reveal a trap door! Grooves in one side (previously full of dusty, clay-like earth) provide a handhold for the lid...
No wonder you didn't see it... you're standing on it, he chuckles.
