Shima Longfoot (High Hand Inn, Common room):
Shima leans forwards too, ostensibly to put his tankard on the table, and replies, "Sound fine. But you have the advantage; what's your name?" After hearing her reply, he switches to dwarven, "I won't spill kin's blood though. And it's more private in my room."
***
If she goes with this, he takes her up towards his room, looking for all the (rest of the) world like he's in for a good night. After closing the door behind them, he says quietly in dwarven, "I'm listening. Talk to me."

Haahqae is thoroughly puzzled by Gobax's insistence to go first. He's never seemed to be any good at spotting traps or scouting ahead before, and he wasn't even in the consideration to scout ahead in the previous rooms. Besides Haahqae was here and was a great scout (and an awesome hero). Why was the goblin insisting on going out in front and wasting their precious few resources?

Maybe it was just one of those goblin things that you learn to hate. Stupid damn goblins.
Just like battering the most interesting guy you've met down here (who you wished to talk to) into a bloody pulp was one of those annoying goblin things you learn to hate.

"Well if you're so insistent on going out in front for some reason, go ahead, but first let's have this door checked over for traps."

Haahqae searches the door for traps
Haahqae also listens at the door to see if he can hear anyone coming.

Thanks, he leans close and whispers to the Gnome, I've got a special device that helps me find traps perfectly, but it only runs for so long each day. It's running now, so I thought I should use it to findthem without risking our fantastic trap-disabler... you. The last comes out in a somewhat pained voice as he tries to say it straight.

"No, that isn't it. Besides, while I'm talking to this one, you guys should be searching for clues that might lead to the others," Kendra points out.

Haahqae, Arulia, Gobax, Felran and Ne-Chanz (Deserted Building)
Gobax wrote:Ismene, would you be able to make me invisible like you did for Pen earlier?

Ismene shakes her head. "Sorry, I only memorized that spell once today."

Haahqae carefully looks over the door for 8 minutes, searching for traps, before he's sure there are none. He then spends another minute listening at the door, but hears nothing on the other side. During this time, the glitter on Felran, Ne-Chanz, Pen and Ismene fades away, which the gnome finds to be a relief. She can now turn invisible again.

===========

Haahqae spends (1d10): 8 rounds searching for traps on the door [TN 25] (1d100): 17, pass. He finds no traps.
Haahqae listens at the door [TN 25%] (1d100): 48, fail. He hears nothing.
Felran is no longer glittered.
Ne-Chanz is no longer glittered.
Ismene is no longer glittered.
Pen is no longer glittered.

Kendra Greylock (Haven's Vale)
"Oh, is that what we should be doing, soldier?" asks Krup. Kendra, having worked in the Holy Guard for so long, knew better than to talk to one's superior officer like that, but she did it anyway, and now the Baaz was clearly annoyed. "Well, sounds to me like you just volunteered then. Tern, you take over. The rest of you, form a perimeter around the camp, keep an eye out."

Tulbas Erogund (Cultist Lair, Barracks)
Tulbas continues studying his spellbook.

=======

Tulbas spends 3 round studying Shield. It is now memorized.
Tulbas spends 6 rounds studying Magic Missile. He will finish in 4 rounds.

Shima Longfoot (High Hand Inn)
The woman seems to think it over, then nods. "Very well." The two head upstairs to his room. Once he closes the door, she says, "Don't worry. The men I'm after are not dwarves. They are a human and a gnome." She removes her hood, revealing brown hair in braids, brown eyes, light skin and a dwarf rune tattooed on her face. Getting a good look at her, it suddenly occurs to Shima that this woman is not Neidar. Rather, she is Hylar--one of the mountain dwarf clans. The tattoo on her face marks her as 'fatherless' meaning she was exiled. To a dwarf, clan and family is everything and many consider exile a fate worse than death.

"My name is Raena," she says. "And if you can help me, I can make it worth your while."

Once the glitter disappears and the door is deemed safe Grubnick turns to Ismene. Now that the glitter is gone, would you be willing to go invisible long enough to just peek inside and see if there are any more waiting for us? If there aren't, then Haahque and I can search the next room for traps and such. What does everyone think?

Shima Longfoot (High Hand Inn, Bedroom):
"Well, Raena, you're the first person in this city that I've come into contact with that hasn't been rude, wanted to look through my belongings or just take money from me," Shima responds. He looks back at her, gaze level with her eyes. "So who are these two you're after? Do they have associates, or some organisation, behind them? What have they done to you? And what do you want me to do about it?"
**
When she finishes speaking, he adds, "By the way, these 'rules' about no weapons in town, how serious are they? How about knives or dagger, or walking sticks for that matter?"

Seeing this stupid stubborn goblin wasn't giving any ground on the matter Haahqae begrudgingly hands over his potion.

"Be careful with that, I don't think it's replaceable. And don't go far. Looks the the door is all clear and I don't hear any army of lizard things coming this way so you should be clear for the first bit. Make sure to not hurt Tulbas, he's an elf and a wizard so he should stand out a bit down here. Oh, and don't do anything I wouldn't do."

~Shit,~ Kendra thinks to herself. She pushes herself up, and steps aside so that Tern can take over. She turns for what she knows is coming, and heads to the far end of the the camp to look for clues that she might have missed.

Haahqae, Arulia, Gobax, Felran and Ne-Chanz (Deserted Building)
"Alright," Ismene says, pulling the hood of her robes up over he head. She vanishes again. The door opens seemingly of its own accord. A minute later, she returns. "It looks clear. Just a hallway. A few doors along the way."

Looking through the door confirms this. It's a hallway heading north, that then branches to the east. There is a door to the left, next to an old looking vase. To the right is a bench, and further north is another door. Further down the hall, to the left, are a pair of snake statues standing in some niches. And to the far north is another door.[/color]

Kendra Greylock (Haven's Vale)
Cursing herself, Kendra makes her way to the far south end of the camp. By the time she reaches it, she can hear the elf's screams of pain as Tern begins his work.

Distracted, she is suddenly surprised when she feels a hand over her mouth and someone pulls her behind some bushes. "Shhh," warns a voice, and Kendra looks up at Sadron's face. He gently removes his hand. "Are you alright? What are you doing here?" he whispers. The two women he was with before are here now, as well, crouching in the bushes and taking the occasional peeks at the Baaz in the camp.

Tulbas Erogund (Cultist Lair, Barracks)
Tulbas continues studying his spellbook.

=======

Tulbas spends 1 round studying Magic Missile. He will finish in 3 rounds.

Shima Longfoot (High Hand Inn)
"The guards will arrest you for carrying any weaponry at all in public, including daggers and knives and even staves," Raena says. "The only way to get through the checkpoints with weapons is if you have a special permit for them, written by either the church or the army. I can't even smuggle a knife between my breasts, because the guards are very gropey and would probably find it. It makes this whole thing a lot harder than it needs to be."

She crosses her arms. "As for the men I'm after, they're troublemakers and upstarts. I was actually hired by someone to take them both out. We infiltrated a little group they put together to track down a giant in the wilderness. Almost had them, but they managed to turn the tables on us. Left my associate nearly dead and tried to rob me of what little I had, as well, using some kind of mind control magic. Not that it worked on someone as stubborn as me. They left me to starve to death out there. By the time I managed to get back to the city, the occupation had arrived. And my employer was dead. So there's no money left in killing them, although that would be pretty satisfying, I bet." She chuckles. "Anyway, they're supposedly working for the church now, so killing them would probably be more trouble than its worth. Stealing every copper they have, though, like they tried to do to me? That's another matter entirely."

Leaning forward, she says, "That's where you come in. They know me, and my old associate, so we can't get close to them. They don't know you, though. You can find out where they live, what defenses they have, and where they store the good stuff. All you need to do is flatter them a bit, tell them you've heard of their so-called exploits, and they'd probably let you right into their little circle. It's probably their biggest weakness. Once everything is in place, we make our move--find a way around the checkpoints and rob them blind. That's the plan, anyway."

Thanks. Grubnick says, before heading through to search the front hall and doors for traps, pointing out any he finds to Haahque. Once he is certain there are none on the doors or in a position to prevent using them, he says I wonder if we could tell what's going on in those rooms by listening...

Arulia follows the goblin through the door as quietly as she can, unsure of what lies ahead. Though she sees no immediate danger, she holds her weapon at the ready as she imagines what else might be lurking in this place.

Shima Longfoot (High Hand Inn, Bedroom ?)
"Hmmm, this occupation is a pain in the butt. Any chance it'll be lifted any time soon? Any relax these arduous laws?" Shima questions, and then pauses for a reply.
**
He continues, "Or is there any way to get a permit? Any idea how bad it is if you join the army or church?", again taking a pause.
**
Moving topics, the dwarf asks, "So what had they done to your former employer? I mean they can't be that badarse - they didn't kill you; what're their names anyway? Any idea what they're doing in, or for, the church? And from their point of view, you were in the wrong, I'd guess... Anyway, who's your old associate? And how can he help?" Finally, and more bluntly, Shima inquires, "If you've got no money, how can you pay me anything?"

Well, if everyone was going into the next room Haahqae should as well, after all, there were no enemies in it, but who knows there could be traps!

(Haahqae moves onto the next room and searches it for traps, especially the doors)

Kendra looks surprised upon seeing Sadron and his companions. She was kind of hoping that they weren't so close to this camp. "They got a report that elves were camped out just outside of Haven," she whispered. "So here we are, looking for elves."
