Kendra takes up her position as she draws one of her swords as she still has hold of her lantern.

Darga sighs and shakes his head. Though he edges towards the back of the group, he hefts his walking stick. "If yer gonna do it the hard way, then let's go."

The party prepares to ambush the enemy before they realize what is happening.

Those of you who intend to melee attack will probably have to charge, in order to reach the nearest enemy before your move runs out, actually.)

As Kendra has the lantern in her other hand, she charges with just one of her swords drawn, and attacks the slig on the right (per the plan) first.

"Ugh, the oafs aren't doing anything stealthy are they?" Haahqae mutters, his concentration broken by a group of armed and dangerous mercenaries headed his way. "Well I guess I better go for plan shoot everything. Maybe later I can work out how to get in there and out alive."

Haahqae draws his bow and looses an arrow to lead the charge.

Snarling under his breath, Darga rushes into the fight right behind the big folk, aiming his walking stick at the skull of one of the demons.

(OOC: Darga is charging at the demon on the left. His attack roll is 9. If he hits, his damage is 2.)

The party charges forward--sans Haahqae--weapons at the ready. The enemy are caught off guard, but only for a few precious seconds. Kendra and Gregeddin both slash at the slig on the right, easily cutting through its tough hide. Kynaston comes up after them with a battle cry, and slams his axe down on the creature while it's staggered--he nearly slices it into two pieces, the blow is so fierce.

Coroccoco and Bear swerve off and attack the slig on the left instead. However, this one proves tougher and manages to block both attacks without taking any damage. The slig counters by stabbing at Bear with his spear. The barbarian dodges, but not fast enough--he gets a nasty cut across his flank.

Ignoring the sligs, Darga goes for one of the demons--alone! He swings his staff, which is parried by the creature's long sword. The demon then counters by stabbing the poor dwarf right in the gut. Darga's staff slips out of his numb hand, and he drops to the ground, slowly bleeding out.

The other demon, after seeing Kynaston's brutal deathblow against the slig, goes for the would-be knight. Kynaston's armor luckily protects him from the demon's long sword.

Haahqae slips out of hiding, but isn't in a good position to hit anyone from behind. He instead shoots at one of the sligs, but misses. He takes aim next at one of the demons, and manages to shoot the one fighting Kynaston right in the shoulder.

Sekla begins chanting a spell. When she is finished, the effects are not visibly apparent. She then begins shouting orders in the goblin tongue.

Gregeddin loops round to Trench's right so that he can swing at Demon #1. (moving anti-clockwise on map view)

Unfortunately the adrenaline of the charge seems to have worn off rather quickly, only able to muster incoherent yelling and flailing of his sword in a desperate attempt to kill the demon.

Kendra takes just a second to put her lantern down, so that she can use her other sword, then turns to the other slig that the others are having a hard time with.

"Well lookit whatwe got here. A spell slinger I see. I hope it's jolly hard to sling spells when you can't stay on your feet." Haahqae quips, in his usual self mutter voice. Reaching into his concealed component's bag he stores in one of his pockets he pulls out what he needs and quietly mutters an incantation.

(Initiative (1d10+1): 11 Wow, greese has a casting time of only 1? That is what that means right? Anyways, Haahqae is casting greese, hoping to catch deamon 2 and Sekla in it, but he would be happy with only catching Sekla if he's too low in init order to catch both.)

The scaly demon looks down at Darga and snorts with derision. He then moves over to join the melee, swinging his blade at Kendra, who manages to duck in time to avoid it.

Gregeddin moves around Kynaston, lending the warrior his aid. He yells and swings his broad sword, but to no avail. The demon's scaly hide protects him from taking even a scratch.

Sekla, meanwhile, casts another spell. Like the first one, the effects of this one are not readily apparent.

Haahqae is forced to move forward, into the lantern light, so he is close enough for his spell. Throwing a bit of pork rind at Sekla's feet, he quickly chants the proper incantation and makes the necessary hand signs. The rind melts into a large puddle of grease, surrounding Sekla from all sides. She slips and skids, but manages to not fall over.

Coroccoco, Kendra and Bear all focus their attacks on the living slig. The hobgoblin aims an elbow strike at the slig, but its tough hide does more damage to her elbow than anything else. Kendra swings both of her blades at it, after having put down her lantern. The slig parries the first blade, knocking it from the Holy Guard's hand. She has better luck with the second blade, however, and slices into the goblinoid. Bear then finishes it off with a mighty swing from Reaver, taking off its head. Kendra then turns her attention to the demon that just attacked her, managing to slice into it with her remaining blade.

Kynaston and the other demon continue to exchange blows, neither able to get the upper hand.

Sekla notices Coroccoco and switches to Common. "You are helping these interlopers? I am trying to save all of goblinkind! You should be fighting with me!"

"Now I've got you." Haahqae announces, taking aim at the hobgoblin priestess. "Let's see you dodge this!" And he looses his arrow, quickly following it with another.

"What are you suppose to be?" Kendra asks as she takes a swing at the demon attacking her. She decides to just use the one sword, for the moment, until people come to help her so that she can back out of battle to pick up her other one.
