CH. 5: The Sending is Coming from Inside the House

[Breila]

"Does she have many blades?" Ouragana asks. "Or could it mean simply that the other two have used many blades on the victim?"

[Jenara]

"It sounded like a list..." Arei suggests, standing she heads over to Pearl, "Would the nickname 'Many blades' mean anything to you?"

[HorizonsDream]

"Thank you," Jocelyn says to Pearl before she turns towards the others. "Seems like everything is leading up to Hubert," she says.

[JadedDM]

Pearl places her fingertip on her chin and attempts to appear thoughtful. "No, but I did once know a story about a man called 'Three Blades.' He was a peasant warrior who fought against corrupt nobles. He got his name because he carried three different swords on him. They were like his trademark. It's not a very popular story here, but it's very big in Gontoria, I hear."

[Jenara]

"It's leading to a group." Arei say solemnly, "We need to pay Hubert a visit, but he doesn't like me..."

[Nuke]

"Could I have food, and perhaps some water?" Arei asks walking to the bar, watching the Cleric and the Halfling on her return she shakes her head, "Ever get the feeling she doesn't like us?" Arei asks Val sitting down at her table. "Like we are.... unimportant somehow?"

"Which one? I can't tell much difference."

Val looks at Arei and winks. As the gnome continues to take the half-orc a while to put the details together in her mind.

"What does a jeweler have to do with it?"

Clearly missing the point.

[Breila]

Ouragana smiles at Val. "It does not matter that he is a jeweler. He is called Diamondeyes, and his best friend Tinskin. This sounds very much like "diamond eyes, iron skin" what the second victim told the cohen when asked who killed her" she explains.

Then she turns to Arei. "You have been to his living place, haven't you?" she asks. "Try to recall what you saw, would it be possible to conduct some dark ceremony there and then carry the victim away unseen?"

[Jenara]

"It was big enough certainly, to think..." She shudders, "My smart mouth may have just saved me."

"Yes, it's possible, he had a large open space, in fact a few. All I can think is we get back into his house, I doubt he would be too willing to allow me in.."

[JadedDM]

The waiter returns with a glass of clean water and a plate of grilled yellowfin tuna for Areilon, and the same for Val but with ale instead of water. The price comes to 1 silver for Areilon, and 1 silver and a half for Val.

[Jenara]

"Thank you." She smiles and sits down.

[HorizonsDream]

Jocelyn lets out a sigh. "I could try talking to him, I guess," she offers. "I don't think sneaking into his house is the way to go."

[Breila]

"No, sneaking into that house probably won't work" Ouragana agrees. "But what would you want to ask him? Also, how can you do that without putting yourself in danger of becoming the next victim?"

[Nuke]

"Ah, I see." Val looks visably releived when she gets it.

After thinking a bit she adds. "If I 'member right, we sold him the old statue, didn't we Areilon?"

OOC: I think it was Arei ans Val that went to sell it, but can't find the post.

[Jenara]

"We did, but he also thought I wanted to lay with him, like I was his to bed. I did lead him on somewhat.... He is annoyed about that." She explains to Val quietly, "You three should go, he has no issue with you, I'll scope out the place from outside."

(OOC: It was in chapter two. It was Areilon, Grey, Ouragana and Val, I believe, who sold the item to Hubert. Only Jocelyn sat it out.)
