"Me hear nothing, room empty." magpie says as she turns around.

"Then I guess its safe." Sturm says as he steps forwards, pushing the door gently.

"Do we all agree?" Laurana asks, standing by Sturm.

"Yes, let's go ahead" Goldmoon agrees, stepping slightly forward so her staff will illumiate the room behind the door.

Pushing open the door reveals a sixty foot hallway that continues west. At the end is another bronze door, also bearing the emblem of a jeweled crown.

Tas goes up and listens to the door with a casual step. Not hearing anything, he shrugs and looks at the group.

"Well it seems to be clear, shall we go in.." Laurana pushes the door slightly, seeing if it moves, while waiting for the others to form ranks.

"I wonder what the crown means.?" She comments, looking around.

Sturm pushes the door slightly, waiting with Caramon, he moves Laurana back slightly, before pushing it again.

Goldmoon follows as usual, keeping to the middle of the group.

As soon as Laurana tries to push open the door, she realizes it will not budge. In fact, it's not a real door at all; it's a fake. Before this fact can even register, the ground suddenly gives under their feet. She, Sturm and Tas fall into a twenty foot deep pit-trap.

"Elatana" Laurana curses out loud, nursing her left arm which she had bashed against the side of the pit before landing roughly on her feet. "What do we do now?"

Caramon steps to the edge of the hole. "Everyone okay down there?" he calls, unable to see for himself in the dark pit.

The walls are fairly smoothed, but there are some cracks from centuries of age. It may be possible to scale them without the use of rope.

(OOC: You'll need a climb walls check. Tasslehoff has a base 75% chance, but as he's at less than half his HP, it drops to 65%. Laurana has a base chance of 40%, but due to her armor, it drops to 25%. Sturm has a base 40%, but he is at less than half his HP and wearing plate mail, which brings his odds down to -20%, meaning it's just not possible. If anyone has any rope, that'll increase everyone's odds by 55%.)

Tika's eyes widen as she moves to the edge of the hole. "Does anyone have any rope?" she asks.

"Yeah, I got some," Eben says. He kneels down, slides off his backpack, and removes a coil of hemp rope of about twenty-five feet in length. "Must have been a trap for tomb-raiders," he reasons. "They see a door with a crown on it, think it leads to treasure. Then fall in. Pretty clever."

Caramon offers him a hand, and the two lower the rope down into the pit.

Riverwind lends his back to the effort of dragging up the others.

"Perhaps we should be more careful in here."

Shaking the dust off and inspecting the wounds, Tas nods his head in agreement. "That was dangerous." He looks at the side of the walls and calls up. "I bet that the dwarves would love this kind of thing as a slide if dwarves had fun. I bet the young dwarves have these things all over the place in their caves."

"Ask Magpie, she probably knows best" Goldmoon tells Tas as she inspects his wounds. She binds what she can, using her conventional healing skills, then does the same for Laurana and Sturm. Having thus assessed the condition of all three victims, she decides to lay hands on Sturm, plus implore Mishakal's help for healing of all three.
