Act 2, Scene 1: "A Flicker of Hope" (Main Game Thread)

The 2E AD&D Homebrew Sandbox world of Genwald is large, ancient, and magical. There are many undiscovered/untamed places. The Sun Kingdom (European style, Late Medieval Human NG Monarchy) is the basic Campaign area, but PCs can end up anywhere.

The scars of ancient battles of titanic proportions mark the land. Wild magic zones, fantastical terrain, grand adventure, political strife, and even artifacts of wonder await. Choose your part and come make your mark on the world. A wide array of unconventional races and classes are available.

At the end of this round Nocturno will drop the pebble. He is too close to getting chewed on. Hoping the darkness evens the odds of the blindness.

"After your next arrow strikes, I'll drop the pebble. To hopefully blind the beast and even the odds!"

Jordek will slowly move closer to the sounds of battle eyes clenched shut. If he stumbles into a statue he will stop there.

Evidently Judging the others less of a threat, the Basilisk continues its assault on Nocturno. Once again the heavy armor turns the snapping jaws away, only barely. No doubt lesser protection would have him bleeding badly by now. Indendien and Dellinanth continue to meet naught but air with their spears as they shift to make room for the minotaur.

Jordek slinks closer, Nitt and Witt going crazy as they scuery about his head and shoulders. He judges himself to be 'just' outside of melee from the sound of things. Nocturno confirms himself as a threat, landing a lucky and devastating blow agaist the creature's scaly neck as it reaches for him!

Taking advantage of his position, Linar sinks his short sword deep in the side of the monstrosity, just below the shoulder of the two middle legs. The Basilisl staggers and hisses aggressively, beginning to thrash and glare with more frantic tempo. Katten lets two mpre arrows fly, but the crowd around the creature makes the shots nearly impossible. Nocturno releases the pebble, and all are engulfed in utter darkness save Katten and the Minotaur...

Jordek lets loose a nervous giggle at the cat lady's words. "It was always black!" Letting loose a squeak of astonishment, he clamps a hand over his mouth and tries to put about 10 feet of distance from where he spoke to where he is now. Trying to navigate by the sounds of battle and keep out of melee range.

Bull

Raises his broad sword and waits for a sound of the scurrying feet . Steps back a step and waits for the scurrying feet. Ready in the light to deal a death blow if the creature comes out of the darkness.

In the darkness, the elves continue to attack the great lizard, but none seem able to land a blow. The basilisk, however, finally gets it's powerful jaws around Nocturno's leg, sending waves of excruciating pain through his body!
