Too bad that Ouragana has no chance to learn third-level spells, even if she levels.

Alright, XP is calculated and posted and I've updated the Calendar and People and Places threads.
We have two level ups.
BishGada, all I need from you is an HP roll of 1d10+1 and you're good to go.
xelphyn, your character leveled as a thief but not as an illusionist (you were only 16 XP from leveling illusionist, if only you had interacted a bit more; next time, though). Anyway, you need to roll a 1d6 HP roll and distribute your new thief skill points. You have 30 points you can spread to any of your thief skills, but you cannot add more than 15 points to any one score at a time.
The title of this chapter was pretty straightforward.
A lot of new people showing up in the game. With spyguy joining last chapter, and this chapter we had xelphyn return and chese join up. At this rate, I might need to split the party up so it's not so big.
This was the party's first return to Narin since the first arc, and where they spent most of the first arc, in fact. So it was fun to bring back some familiar faces, like Pearl and Koh'kra, as well as have Brock visit his family. The party also learned Kohen Truestone went back to that island and has yet to return.
Drav's introduction to the group was hardly seamless, but I suppose it got the job done. I had originally intended to start him out in Narin to run his own little solo adventure, and have the party recruit him after they finish with the island, but I guess they could use every bit of help they can get. The mansion will feature some of the toughest battles the party has faced so far.
The reason I included Thaddeus in this adventure was two-fold. First, I felt the party would need a mage with offensive spells as the combat will be quite difficult, as I said before (also note, I decided to have him join before xelphyn and chese joined up, so I felt the party was understaffed at the time). But the second was to explore his relationship with Ouragana.
I figured this could be a little sidequest for Ouragana, if she chooses to follow through on it, that is. If she wants to win over Thaddeus, she needs to accomplish two things. The first is to convince him to reject his mother's arranged marriage for him and the second is to get him to fall in love with her (he was indifferent to her when they first met; he's since been upgraded to 'friendly' but still only sees her as a friend). I imagine the first part is probably the more difficult, since he has a very different outlook on life than Ouragana does; but it is possible. She has until the end of the arc to try, at any rate.
As always, any feedback, questions and thoughts are welcome. I'll get the next chapter up in a bit.

Yah, my entrance was a seamless as it comes, violent interruption.

Ouragana will certainly continue to interact with Thaddeus, but as you said, the outcome is far from certain. It could well be that she'll come to the conclusion that a union with Thaddeus would not be in her best interest either!

Well, as always, it was a pleasure to play with you all.
I tried playing Baeros low charisma a little more in this episode. Maybe pressed it too much, but I think I balanced it in the last posts.
Looking forward for the mansion. Sure it will be an adventure, and hope we won't die in the first few rounds
Got
2 HP. It's not funny anymore...

I shouldn't beat myself up over it; the truth is that's how new PCs joining the group go about 90% of the time. Often, it just can't be helped.

It's possible. Hopefully her chances haven't been ruined entirely by Gallath's interference. In addition to everything else now, she also needs to deal with the massive awkwardness surrounding them.

Well, you did roll 11 last level up. But since you are a warrior, and I've allowed Nuke to do so in the past, you can reroll once if you get a 1. So try again, see if luck favors you any better this time.

Drav can easily be either. He has the best AC in the group, so he can survive for a time on the frontline. But he's also an expert archer with a +3 to hit on a bow, so he makes a good backline warrior, too. The party can move him depending on where they need him most.
BishGada, I rerolled for you and got a 6.

You can NPC Baeros if you must.
Thanks.

Hmm...BishGada is gone until Sunday. xelphyn and spyguy haven't logged in nearly 2 weeks. And Nuke hasn't posted in a week.
Looks like it's up to Horizon, Breila and chese to lead things for the time being. Don't be shy about taking action, if you're waiting for the rest of the group to chime in or take initiative, we might be sitting here awhile.

Now that's what I call a crack pairing.

I think you have them mixed up. It's Baeros/Terra, Gallath/Sierra.
