He blushes himself at Areilon's comment, a strange thing to see on such a hulking man. "Uh...my thanks. For everything. Perhaps some day we shall work together again."

Areilon gives Andar 20 gold pieces.

"I tend to speak my mind, I have lived many years already..." Giving him another grin she looks him in the eye. "It depends how lucky you are to be honest. You know, you could join us.. we could do with a man of your talents..."

"What better way to get your life on track than getting some money behind you..." She suggests, her hand resting on his leg briefly.

"Many years? But you look like a girl of seventeen, at best. Ah, that's right. Elves are long-lived. You are no doubt older than my grandmother then," he says with a grin.

He looks down at the pouch of gold in his hand long and hard, thinking over her words. "Someday, I think I will take you up on that. But for now, I just want to rest and heal my spirit, get my crap together again, you know? Perhaps in a year or so, seek me out in the village of Condeltun on Hashadeth. I will likely feel better by then, and my pockets will likely be empty once more."

"I am just over one hundred." She responds, "And to my people I am but a mere girl."

"Hashadeth?" She asks, "I will be there, and we will ensure your pockets are filled once more." Taking the big man's hand she looks up with a smile. "Perhaps when we make land, would you allow me to buy you dinner?"

Andar flushes and looks away, finding it difficult to look her in the eye. "Uh...if the captain permits. I don't know how much time we'll spend in Narin after we drop you off. But if we have some shore leave, then I'll accept," he says, scratching the back of his head with his free hand.

"Thank you." Letting go of his hand she kisses him on the cheek, "I will leave you too it." With that she leaves to head back up on deck but stops before she does so, going instead to the Quartermaster again, an idea in her head.

Areilon finds the quartermaster still in the cargo hold, going over inventory while whistling a bawdy tune to himself.

"Hello, me again." She gives a little wave, "I need to convert some coins into something portable, maybe a hundred gold, do you have anything you trade that might do that?"

"A hundred? Hmm," the quartermaster thinks to himself. "There is one thing that I might be able to offer you." He doesn't look in a crate or barrel, but rather pulls out a shiny white pearl from his pocket. "I would be willing to sell this little baby for a hundred gold."

On a closer inspection, Areilon can confirm that the pearl is worth that much.

Areilon makes an Appraisal check (1d20): 13, pass. Areilon can tell the pearl is worth 100 gold pieces.

"That would be perfect." Taking the pearl in her hands she strokes it gently, "One hundred gold?" She asks, counting out the money she lets it fall into his hand slowly, "Long shot, but you dont have a small pouch do you, and a some string? And thank you."

"Sure, on the house," the halfling smiles, and he searches a moment before finding a small belt pouch and handing it over to her.

Areilon spends 100 gold pieces on a pearl and a small belt pouch.

(She wants to put the pouch round her neck, and keep it safe where no one will look. )

(OOC: Is she just putting the pearl in the pouch, or anything else?

Also, unless anyone has anything further they'd like to do, I have one more scene planned for this chapter.)

"Thank you." She smiles and ties the pouch round her neck, "I appreciate your help." Turning away she tucks the pouch into her shirt.
