"Can we move on..? This sickens me to my stomach, this whole place sickens me." Angel turns away her face twisted in pain.

Haro continues his grim business, but pauses for a moment to look at the group, making eye contact with Liri. He gives her a sinister smile, made grotesque by his ruined face, and without looking strikes the crucified man again.
[OOC] Where to next? Back to the villa? Find some other lodging? Stay here and fight the legionnaires to get to Haro?[/OOC]

Angel turns away disgusted, a fight here wouldn't solve anything, even if this was cruel evil work, perhaps she should offer to find this Quintus herself?
"Come, I am going back I would rather not be anywhere near this place." She moves away heading back to the Villa. "Something needs to be done about this..."

As the group turns to leave, Haro calls out to them: "I will call on you soon."
Ari leads the group back to the villa the way they came, so as to avoid the crowd gathered around the burned house. A few people can be seen looking out from their windows, but they are quick to back away and draw the curtains, trying not to be seen.
At the villa, the legionnaires are standing guard as before, but they admit the group to the courtyard without delay. Lucius meets them as they enter and says: "The primus has directed me to see that you are fed, assuming you are hungry, and given lodging. The tent against the landward wall there is empty at the moment. You may stay there if you wish. And a meal is being prepared. Please make yourselves comfortable while you wait."

"Not too soon..." Angel mumbles under her breath in Elves, loud enough for Liri to hear, heading back to the Villa she tries to forget the images she has seen... images all too familiar, she disagreed the last time too..
"The offer is better than most we have received." She comments to Lucius, and takes her bags inside. "Thank you." She adds, not waiting for the others for more than a brief moment. "Legion cooking.." She mumbles again, this time to no one.

"Legion food and a tent roof over our heads is better than none of either" Liri says softly to Angel. Then she stretches like a cat, easing all her muscles. Shaking her limbs out, she speaks up again: "i hate it when violence is dealt out in the name of the Gods, in Service of the Gods as they say.. You'd think they are high above us people, so why do they squabble like we do? And use, abuse and kill people in the process.".

"Violence in that manner is ugly, replusive and ultimately pointless. Its worthless.." Shaking her head she nods in agreement, "In all honestly it is the leaders who follow the gods and supposedly tell us their bidding. You have to wonder who's bidding they are doing? The God or the Man."
"I'm sorry, that was quite morose, my actions a little strange.. perhaps I might explain to you all, if you are willing to listen?" Looking around to the assorted members she takes a deep breath, if no one objects she speaks.
"I was a Legionare, a young one, my Elven blood made me look older but I was young.. I joined a unit and I was a good Soldier, until one day we came across a town within the lines of some Rebels. Our unit leader demanded that we attack them, we kill the women and children, and capture the men." She looks down her eyes betraying a hint of tears. "The Men were rounded up, and placed on Crosses made from the timbers of their own homes. They tortured just like that man, quized for infomation they didnt hold in a pointless waste of life. I was thrown out, because I objected.. cast aside by people like these because I stood up for the innocent." Standing she leaves her pack and walks out of the tent unless she is stopped.

Liri does not sto Angel, but quietly follows her in some distance.

"It is even darker now, than it was when you served." says a voice from the darkness next to the tents. There is a man there, against the wall, leaning on a crutch. "These priests of the Destroyer will kill anyone who gets in their way." He takes a pull on his pipe, then exhales a thin plume of smoke. "Quintus will never surrender, and no one here knows where he is. This slaughter priest will kill the whole village before this is done."

Liri stops, turns around to the speaker and asks: "So the matter of Quintus is more important to those in charge than the matter of the undead coming out of the sea?" Her voice is matter-of-fact, has the aloofness that elves are often accused of.

"They are the same matter. The undead are from Quintus," the man says. "In a few days, he will send more, if he can find a source of bodies. And he is certainly out looking. I recognized one of the creatures that came today. It used to be a collier from up in the hills east of town.
"I have to give credit to Quintus - he is canny. Living troops would not have attacked from the lake, so nobody thought to defend that front."

"So... if he is lacking 'sources' maybe that's the best way to handle it? Protect the graveyards and be sure to protect the body of the fallen." Galanis suggests.
