Several minutes later the food is brought out, and the Kender and Cross hardly breathe before it is set before them. The fish has been prepared with a spiced breading and pan-fried until it is golden brown. The crust is light and flaky and the fish has a smoky quality to it. To the side are sauteed greens with garlic and and a mash of nutty root veggies that may be a mixture of parsnips and onions. The other dishes are just as worthy. The beets in the stew are tender and seasoned with an unusual but pleasant spice. The roast pork is laid over a combination of parsnips, carrots, potatoes and drizzled with a sauce that seems to be from the meat. The mutton has been pan-seared and accompanied by a small portion of root veggies and sauteed greens. The cured meats and cheeses resemble those had last night, but they are in a much larger portion with some flat-bread. The server waits to see if they are happy with their orders.

Artanis indicates that he is quite satisfied with his meal. "And they have reaped the rewards for their earlier efforts. Cheers boys." Artanis hoists his cider in a toast to Cal and Pyros.

"Its an old travelling song, one I never understood till now... My journey from Haven to Palathas was a long one, full of danger, I never got to see the point. But travelling an untrodded path, be it to the Mountains or the woods with good friends." She raises her glass.. "To good friends and lovers." She quite openly blows Yasir a kiss.

"Pyros it would be my honour." Turning to the server she smiles."Can you tell our Chef she has done a wonderful job." She says in Harmomian.

Cal takes a portion of fish, along with a little of everything else. He lifts his cider in a salute. "This fish is incredible!" he says with a grin. "My compliments to the chef!" If the server is the same girl from earlier, he smiles especially at her.

"Cal here likes the fish." Mira comments in Harmonian. "He'd tell you himself if he could."

Pyros will eat with the reckless abandon of a 5 year old. When his plate is empty, he will take a long pull from a glass of ale, let out a large belch, and sit back.

"Now that was a lunch! Shall we move onto the errands?"

"Agreed." Mira stands but doesnt relinquish her hold on Yasir. "I'm going to the Silver scale, then Toads Toe. And possibly the Harmonic hall."

Ooc: Does she have time to get to the hall before the Toad is opened?

Why don't we all go together? Elsa proposes. Cross' cape at the Bolt won't take long, and Yasir and I can pick up our weapons from John. I'd like to see the Silver Scale too, I've never been there. The halfling's smile seems infectious.

[Ioc: yes, you'll have time to hit the hall and everything before the Toad's Toe opens]

"Sounds like a wonderful idea." Mira agrees and moves to stand. "I'm just itching to get my hands on that book!" She adds hugging Yasir close.

The ranger shrugs. Going shopping sounded about as appealing as a trip to the dentist - even if Pyros was the dentist. The Ranger then chuckles at the mental image of Pyros as a dentist. Still, he had no other plans, so he'll tag along. That doesn't necessarily mean he will not venture off to scout around on his own should he be so inclined.

"Artanis, a word?" Mira asks as they prepare to depart, setting him apart from the others . "I'm told the road to Skald is safe, yet... I find myself disbelieving that, I mean who expects to get attacked by wolves? This whole place leaves me feeling uncertain." Glancing over at Yasir she continues.

"Could you find out all you can about threats on the road, and Skald. Ask John.. Please?"

Artanis

Artanis nods in complete understanding. "Wise words, my lady. I'll get right on it and excuse myself from the shopping trip." He finishes with a grin and will make his way to speak with John about the road to Skald.
