"All right, Andar, do you think you can carry some of this stuff?" Jocelyn asks.

Ouragana studies her spellbook to refresh Web, Sleep and Shield, since these spells have proven useful.
She will also share her meals with Val and Bearos again, if they accept it.

As everyone wakes up early in the morning Baeros says. "You seem better. Now the food is becoming a troubling issue. I don't think we will make it by pressing on too hard. I think we shall invest more time at hunting in the morning and evening, so if no one objects, Takit and I will try to catch something right now."

===============================================================
Baeros prepares to hunt together with Takit, as he sees that Arie and Andar are capable to guard the company.

"Yes, thank you," Andar says.

Everyone has breakfast, with Ouragana sharing with Baeros and Val again. Thus, everyone gets to eat except Takit.

==========

(OOC: Just let me know what you want Andar to carry.)

"If we can get this equipment issue settled, we should be able to cut down on the days it takes to get to where we are going," Jocelyn says. "And providing we can avoid getting attacked too."

"Val, it is mostly you who is wheighed down" Ouragana says to the half-orc. "You should let Andar carry some of your things."

Just before Baeros goes on hunting he says, "Andar, you should try to carry as many of the small and heavy items, so I guess you can carry at least four waterskins, and maybe roll three bedrolls together? and maybe spare weapons Val carries. I also suggested before that Val will loan to you or Arie some parts of her armor which will provide you more protection and relieve her of the weight." Then he whistles, "Takit! come with me. We will be back within a bell." and strides to the woods.

==================================================
(OOC: If I spend more time hunting, does it raises the chance to catch something? What dice should I roll for hunting?)

OOC: I dumped the fishing net and half of the rope. Andar can carry the battleaxe and water if necessary. I am not sure what the target weight is.

Having discarded the net and half of her rope, Val is a little less encumbered now.

"Not sure her armor would fit me," Andar comments.

Baeros and Takit go out to hunt for food that morning. After an hour, he returns with a nice doe slung over his shoulder.

==========

Val is now lightly encumbered. Her movement rate is now 8.

The party's movement rate is currently 8, which means they can travel about 4 miles a day. Their destination is around 31 miles away.

Baeros makes a hunting check with Takit's aid (+2) [15] (1d20): 13, success. He kills a dear. This will provide 6 meals of meat.

"Is everyone settled now?" Jocelyn asks. "We really should get going."

Baeros puts down the deer. "We need to carve the meat out of the game, not to overweight ourselves. I think Takit earned a meal." he says rubbing the dog's head fondly. "We will leave right after that."

Baeros cuts out as much meat from the deer as he can in the time allotted, then packs it away for later.

The party continues on their journey, without incident the whole day. However, because Val and Jocelyn are still lightly encumbered and seriously wounded, they only travel 4 miles today instead of 6. When night falls, they make camp again.

Andar sets to getting a fire going, so they can cook the meat that Baeros and Takit caught that morning.

==========

It is now 7:10 PM.

Immidiately after they set the camp Baeros says, "Since we still have a long road ahead of us, Takit and I will go hunt again. What we cought in the morning is barely enough for this evening." and he sets towards the woods without any more words, Takit follows his steps.

Jocelyn uses Lay on Hands on Val, and uses a her last cure prayer upon herself.

Jocelyn nearly restores Val to perfect health, but does very little to help herself.

Baeros and Takit go hunting for an hour. He gets lucky, and they manage to bring down a zebu. The ranger is able to carve out 12 pounds of beef from the carcass, which he lugs back to camp.

=========

Jocelyn lays hands upon Val, restoring 8 HP to her. Val is now only lightly wounded.
Jocelyn casts Cure Light Wounds upon herself, restoring (1d8): 1 HP.
Baeros makes a hunting check with Takit's aid (+2) [15] (1d20): 2, pass. He kills a zebu. This will provide 12 meals of meat. Baeros is now lightly encumbered.
