Act 2 Scene 2: “In Search of The Crown” (Game Thread)

Mira walks to the farm in a quiet thoughtful mood occasionally exchanging glances with Elsa before they finally reach their destination.

“Someone?” She asks, “Ontash had horses, so it could be him. it's probably nothing , so we go in together. Spellcasters in the Middle, Elsa and I will take the rear, Adrastia and Artanis up front, Pyros take a look around.” With that she shoulders her pack again and draws her crossbow, notching a bolt. "Just in case."

“Jerry do you have any spells we could use? Cross..? Perhaps you could ask your new friend to take a look?”

“Ready?” The words are directed at Elsa, but it’s obvious she means everyone.

Adran, readying an arrow and somewhat annoyed at not being included in the plans, says I will assist in bringing up the rear.

"Adran, sorry. I have no idea what we will encounter, do you have any spells to help?" Mira asks noting him notching an arrow.

[Don't worry wizkid, she forgot Merrick too. Lol]

Adran responds That is quite alright - For a fight, I have magic missiles and web memorized. In case of an interesting artifact, I have detect magic memorized.

"Sure," answers Jerry, not wishing to make it sound like she thinks it's a strange question.

Pyros slips expertly into the brush, making his way towards the farm while the others prepare themselves.

Fenrir takes to the sky, winging his way towards the farm.

[Nocturno]

"My new friend sees a horse and one man, going between the buildings."

Pyros comes back to the group.

"One person, what I imagine a male Gypsy would look like. He seems to be ransacking the place."

[Jenara]

"Hmmm. I think we should pay this man a visit " Mira suggests, "Let's move shall we." Crossbow still drawn she moves as fast as she is able in time with the group.

[Nocturno]

Pyros readies his Hoopak.

Adran says to the group, while gesturing to the farm shall we?

The group heads up the hill, staying close together. As they crest the small rise they see the farm laid out just as it was before when they were last there a few days ago. The only apparent differences from first glance are the tethered horse grazing, and the small door to the barn standing open...

Jerry moves to check out the barn.

[Jenara]

Mira is about to comment about staying together when she shrugs assuming Merrick would go with her anyway, keeping the Crossbow leveled she moves towards the house.

"Looks like either Ontash has come to get the stuff, or someone else has taken advantage of our kill." Mira suggests, whipping her head around so her red locks fly open falling over her shoulders and partially cover her semi exposed neck, the first few buttons on the white blouse open (somewhat conservative for her), the red skirt whips about her legs as she walks forwards.

"Has anyone one else appeared?"

Pyros will try to quietly peek into a window on the house if available at his height, or just keep his distance from the door behind the larger ones.

Jerry peels off towards the barn. Merrick looks around, hesitating for a moment, then trots to keep up.

Mira hefts her crossbow and heads towards the house with Pyros rushing up to look in thenfront window. The den area seems the same as he remembers, though there is a low fire going in the fireplace. [The door is locked, but he would recall the back door had been broken in] Elsa and Adrastia follow the bard.
[Cross does not see anyone else around]
[Where will Adran be?]

Artanis readies his bow and takes up a place near the tethered horse, ready to assist anywhere necessarry.

As the half-elves approach the barn, a voice calls our from inside... Hello! Who goes there? Be you man or beast?
