The Sarcophagus Legion VI

[JadedDM]

Jerrard's room is small, but colorful. It contains two single beds with red blankets and canopies, a dresser, chamber pot, and a small chest. There is also a water basin and some towels for cleaning up.

Babushka and Locky enter the brothel, stepping into a small waiting room of sorts. A small bell rings when they open the door. An older woman, somewhat frumpy, wearing the traditional burka steps forward. She says something to them in Khurish, but as neither can speak that language, they have no idea what she just said.

Imani heads up to her room to get settled in. "I wonder how long we are going to end up staying here before we come up with a plan?" she asks herself.

[Jenara]

"Hi." Locky waves to the Lady, "We aren't local, we don't speak your language, do you speak 'common' we were looking for a bath." she grins wide, her topknot bouncing.

[Jerrard]

Jerrard sits quietly for a moment, resting on one of the beds, rubbing his beard.

The woman had apparently not recognized the two at first, thinking originally they were children. When Locky drops her hood and reveals her topknot, she nearly hops backwards a bit. "Kender! No kender allowed in this establishment," she says sternly, switching to Common.

[Breila]

Babushka chuckles. "They might not want to tell you" she explains. "Most men are ashamed to admit they did not find a woman who did it for free, I've been told."

[Jenara]

"Oh, I get that all the time, Kender aren't allowed here, not allowed there, its all very sad." Locky rants on, "I did just want a bath, we won't bother your ladies." She smiles sweetly, "We can pay."

[JadedDM]

The woman shakes her head emphatically. "The dwarf may stay, but the only kender allowed here are the ones that work here. And even then, they're kept locked up when not needed. And I wouldn't even keep them at all, but some of our customers have strange tastes."

[Jenara]

"Kender work here?" She asks curiously, totally ignoring the comment about not letting her in. "How much is a bath?" She asks, producing a gold piece between her fingers.

[JadedDM]

"Only two, a male and a female," the woman says. "I didn't want them, but my husband bought them at the auction up north for a very good deal."

She eyes the kender warily. "A full bath and massage is a steel piece. But I wouldn't let a kender in here even for three times that much."

[Breila]

"Well, if she isn't allowed in, I do not want to come in either. Come, Locky, let's go, they obviously don't need our money." Babushka turns away.

[Jenara]

"I did want to meet the Kender, but yes, they don't want our money." She puts the coin into her pouch, showing the coins inside. "Lets go."

[JadedDM]

While the girls leave the brothel, Jerrard and Imani sit in their individual rooms by themselves, thinking to themselves.

Jerrard, who had not closed his door the entire way, hears a gentle song coming from across the hall.

[Breila]

Babushka goes to Locky's and her room, opens it and brings her luggage in. She then looks at the washbasin to check if washcloths and towels have been provided. If hey are, she will wait for Locky to come in too and close the door, then will undress herself and wash up,

Indeed, the basin is full of fresh, clean water and there are washcloths and towels provided.
