It takes another two minutes to reach the chamber where Leafloam, the vampiric moss, and the hanging snagworts were first found. Babuska points out to Jerrard where the plants are, patiently waiting over the eastern exit to this room.

When Jerrard approaches, the plants begin to lower themselves in anticipation. However, when he speak the command word, "Shothuar," the snagworts immediately retract and let him pass by unmolested.

"Ohhhh, that is useful!" She says sticking out her tounge at the plants.. "I wonder what we'll encounter now?"

She leads on down the tunnel, grabbing Babs hand.

Jerrard smiles at Lockys reaction, she was so confusing, sometimes she was a child, others she was more mature than all of them.

"Come, lets us go, The Shroom already has time on us." He walks on, sword resting by his side.

(ooc: Sorry, I'll post where I can)

The party travels through the east tunnel, left alone by the snagworts, for about a minute. Then the tunnel opens up into a room--not a chamber, but a clearly artificial room with straight walls and corners. The river continues through the room, emptying out into a grate on the east side. To the north, on the east side of the room, is a closed door.

The room contains a wooden rack with twenty bottles of liquid of varying colors and consistencies, and a strange and ominous piece of equipment. The device looks like a long wooden chair, with many wooden needles on articulated stalks bristling around it, curving up and out from the beneath of the chair, where they are attached to the bottom. There is a funnel near the chair's headrest that seems to pour liquid into the chair.

Locky peers into the room, her eyes bright with curiosity. "I wonder what that is for?" She asks, looking at the bottles, the the chair. "Something tells me that seat isnt for sitting in."

She stops looks up at the ceiling and then steps in a little way.

"Torture? Experiments?" Shay guesses, holding his torch higher to see better.

Locky does not perceive any threats on the ceiling.

Babushka gives a short. dry, humorless laugh. "Both, I suppose. Experiment for the shroom, torture for his victim. Once Thuskar can speak again, he might be able to tell us."

She eyes the bottles for a moment, then shrugs. "I might want to have a look at these, but that can wait. Jerrerd, among all the papers you found, were there herbal recepies?"

Not waiting for an answer, she goes over to the door, looking for signs of recent passage. 1d20=14

The ranger spends about five minutes looking carefully for a trail, but even with her ability to see in the dark, finding anything on such rocky ground in a man-made cave proves difficult. Whether nothing has passed through here, or she simply is unable to find a trail, she finds nothing to indicate recent passage.

========================

Babushka makes a tracking check (15), finds nothing.

"There were books on plants, but nothing on these potions.. I would suggest we check them out at a later date." He curses the chair, kicking the contraption lightly, obviously deciding if he wants to destroy it.

"I am happy Thuskar did not come here, it would have been hard for him." He mumbles, "Torture, yes." He flicks through the papers, seeing for anything about the human/pod hybrid.

Locky looks around the room with an interested gaze, she scouts the room with her eyes picking up the details. Until she decides on the Rack of bottles.

"How very strange, I do wonder what all these are...?" She ponders, getting closer.

"Locky? I believe you have the keenest ears of us all, could you check if you can hear anything behind this door?" Babushka asks after finishing her search for traces.

Locky quickly grabs the bottle with the Horses on it, puts it in her pouches and grins at Bab, "I will try, did you know some people think that listening at doors is rude.."

(Net is really unstable, damn...)

"I can't hear anything, maybe we should move on, and come back for these later?" She spies the passage, slipping out of the room slightly.
