Re: Act 2 Scene 4: "Descent into Darkness" (Game Thread)
Pyros takes in the scene and starts to look around the curtain. He finds no wires or any other triggers he will try to roll under.
Re: Act 2 Scene 4: "Descent into Darkness" (Game Thread)
Standing not too far behind the Kender Karl eyes the curtain like everything else in this place, with suspicion.
"I want to ask what harm a Curtain can do, but in this place the world is full of dangers."

Re: Act 2 Scene 4: "Descent into Darkness" (Game Thread)
Pyros and Adran investigate the curtain. Suddenly the Kender nods, satisfied that it is free of hazard, and rolls beneath it to the other side! Damnit Pyros... The halfling cleric mutters under her breath, moving as if to follow.
Catastrophe fails to befall the intrepid Rogue as he passes the heavy cloth easily. [Anyone can pass or open the curtain now]
A beautiful young woman sits strapped into a skeletal chair that resembles a squatting giant or some great artistic effort in bone. She seems startled to see Pyros, but then a look of relief washes over her features. She quickly attempts to struggle free but curved bones and straps of sinew hold her fast. She has a look of concern in her eyes, as if she fears that whoever strapped her into this nightmarish chair may return at any moment.

Re: Act 2 Scene 4: "Descent into Darkness" (Game Thread)
When Adran passed through the curtain and saw the young woman who was strapped to the chair, he asked, Madame are you okay? Who has done this thing to you and why? Adran will wait for her answer before he moves to unstrap her from the chair - if he believes her response.... Otherwise, he will look around the room for any possible hiding places that a potential attacker could be hiding.
Re: Act 2 Scene 4: "Descent into Darkness" (Game Thread)
Before going past the curtain Jerry casts Thought Capture.
Re: Act 2 Scene 4: "Descent into Darkness" (Game Thread)
Pyros will immediatley rush to remove any bindings. - Laser focused unless stopped.
Unless he recognizes her from somewhere, then he will stop to talk instead. Eyes wandering around the room.

Re: Act 2 Scene 4: "Descent into Darkness" (Game Thread)
Seeing that Pyros had fully intended to remove the young woman's bindings before she could answer his questions, Adran said Hold on Pyros, I would like to find out exactly who it is we are letting loose and how she came to be in such a secluded place....
Re: Act 2 Scene 4: "Descent into Darkness" (Game Thread)
Pushing the Curtain aside Karl moves forward towards the woman, "We must free this woman, come Pyros, let us remove these bonds." He moves behind, ready to untie her. "My Name is Karl, how did you end up in this predicament my Lady?"
Re: Act 2 Scene 4: "Descent into Darkness" (Game Thread)
Mira climbs when those in front of her do.
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

Re: Act 2 Scene 4: "Descent into Darkness" (Game Thread)
At Adran's questioning her look of relief turns to shock and concern, I...? ?? I am Nisab... I don't know how I came to be here... or why... she seems about to cry, but looks kindly upon Pyros and Sir Karl as they approach, endeavoring to free her.
Merrick moves up into the room, watching with concern. Mira pushes past the others to join the party at the top of the stairs, taking in the scene...
In the back, Jerry finishes a spell. She tilts her head unconsciously as if listening to something unheard.
===
In what manner are the pair trying to relieve the tough Sinew-bonds? Tearing or pulling will require a bend/lift roll. Cutting will require attack rolls and damage (since the bonds are tough but stationary consider them AC 7, 12 hps each. Only slashing weapons will do any good against them)
there are 4 sets of bonds, one for each limb.
Jerry casts Thought Capture
[will send PM momentarily]
Now that Sir Karl and Pyros have moved up and a larger space has opened, up to 2 more medium sized creatures can inhabit the room (the skeletal chair takes up a lot of space).
This can Be Mira and I'll say... Merrick since he was at the top
Since the scene has changed so little, i wont bother posting a new map just yet. Consider Merrick and Mira at the stairway (top center) and the others where they have stated or shifted a little to accommodate the people present

Re: Act 2 Scene 4: "Descent into Darkness" (Game Thread)
Jerry looks for space to advance so she can see what's going on.
Re: Act 2 Scene 4: "Descent into Darkness" (Game Thread)
Pyros was going to use his dagger. But thats not slashing lol. He wasn't expecting evasive bonds.
=========================
hit hit dmg dmg:[1d20] = 19 [1d20] = 16 [1d4] = 3 [1d4] = 3
Dicing with this daggers like the swedish chef Pyros goes after the bonds.

Re: Act 2 Scene 4: "Descent into Darkness" (Game Thread)
Jerry moves the curtain farther aside so she can better see. Adrestia pushes the other half of the curtain all of the way to the wall so it doesn't obscure anyone's vision.
=====
for the purposes of this activity the daggers can be used that way. Pyros cuts half-way through oe of the bonds.

Re: Act 2 Scene 4: "Descent into Darkness" (Game Thread)
Pointing dramatically at the tied up woman, Jerry hollers, "Hold on! She's faking! Least seems she know about the skeletons attacking and didn't give a damn then. Don't know if she controls them but I'd not release her yet."
Re: Act 2 Scene 4: "Descent into Darkness" (Game Thread)
Speaking to the Pyros who is cutting, Adran says I've come upon too many damsels in distress who weren't actually in distress - this is the reason for my automatic questioning of the situation.... Adran will look around the room and keep one hand on the hilt of his sword - he is looking for any artifacts, secret doors, etc.
