"Hmm, looks like we found a good old empty room. It might appear that this is disappointing, but actually this is an opportunity! If I'm right, and I usually am, this is one of the few places in the city that have managed to stay hidden from the invading army, so we can talk here without fear of their spies. With a little dusting up we might even be able to turn this place into somewhere livable, but our first order of business should be talking about how to find and catch those thieves who stole from us. This would be simpler if there was some sort of thieves guild that kept tabs on their members. Hmm, without that what about the idea of looking into the jewelry shop and the mage store? They stole a fair amount of coinage so they might want to turn that into something lighter to carry around in the form of jewels, and they stole some unidentified potions so they'll have to find out what those do somehow and I imagine they value their own lives too much to test them by themselves."

Kendra catches the woman, and lets her go as the Baaz stalk off. She shakes her head, then looks at the woman. "Are you okay?" she asks. "I might be apart of the dragon army, but I don't much like the way these draconians seem to think we women are there for their personal needs only."

"That's a great idea, Haahque," responded Shima. "On recovering your stuff, I'd be happy to try and help. But would need some more detail though. Like who took what and when? And what what do they look like?"

"Sorry. We heard a scream, and decided to see if anyone was in trouble. Are you all right?"

Haahqae, Gregeddin, Tulbas, Arulia, Gobax and Shima (Deserted Building)
Gobax starts huffing and puffing as he heaves against the stone statue, but the little goblin finds he cannot even tip it slightly, never mind knock it over completely.
(OOC: Gobax makes a STR check [TN 11] (1d20): 17, fail.)
Kendra Greylock (Outside the Ivy Inn)
"I'll live," the woman says. "So you don't agree with what they do, but you betray your own people and join up with them anyway? You must be an interesting woman."
Felran and Ne-Chanz (Una's Weaponsmithy)
Felran looks around the shop idly. It seems this smithy is in full production and is turning out long swords, spears, short swords, maces, daggers and halberds. They are all high quality, too. From what Felran can tell, anything that isn't up to snuff is melted back down to try again.
To Ne-Chanz, the woman says, "Oh, that. It's nothing. One of my clumsy apprentices burned herself on the forge. It happens sometimes. Good help is hard to find these days."

"I asked her." Ne-Chanz says.

"Two women named Yvette and Xyleena stole a lot of steel pieces from us, and a couple unidentified potions. They stole it here last night, late at night. One is in her thirties, with jet black hair, green eyes and fair skin. The other is in her twenties with brown hair and eyes, but black skin."

"Oh Haahque, that's awful. How did they manage to steel from you lot? From your rooms while you were away?" queried Shima.
"And I'd be pleased to try and help, if you'll have me."

"They were posing as rather expensive mercenaries for hire, and were promised an equal share of the loot while we raided this hideout here. When we finally found some steel worth dividing up, they argued that it had to be divided properly, so they would carry it and wait until we weren't under threat of being attacked by the creatures here so we could count it properly. Then when the next fight started, they ran away while we were distracted by fighting for our lives, taking everything we found with them." Haahqae pauses, then another thought occurs to him.
"They weren't even that useful before they ran with our money either."

"Betraying dogs!" responds Shima. "They need to be caught... Here, let me try and help you, Gobax.
Shima advances, checking out the stonework for anything that moves, slides, unsound etc.
- Could the statue be a snakeman under some kind of spell?
If nothing, he tugs on the snake statue to try and topple it.

Thanks, the goblin says at the offer of help. What clan are you from? I lived with some Dwarves for a few years. He says before adding his effort to Shima's for a second attempt at toppling the statue.

Shima pauses before answering, thinking ~He can't be expected to know.~
The dwarf smiles wanly at Gobax, "That is a very difficult question for me. Difficult as in sensitive. I am Neidar. In your words that would be 'Knoll Dwellers'. Within Neidar, I....do not have a family. That is part of what makes me good at Pathfinding, particularly subterranean. This is more than I share with most, but that is because of the open-mindedness you, and Arulia and Haahque in particular, have shown to me. I would prefer not to talk on clans more just now. Not for hiding anything, just that it is painful. Ask me again after a barrel of ale." Shima shrugged an apology, and looked with sad eyes at the goblin. "But maybe you can tell me something of you?"

"I have my reasons for joining up," Kendra says. "I'm not sure if that makes me interesting, but I'm okay with people hating me"

Tulbas joins the effort to topple the statue. If that proves too difficult he suggest taking the candelabra from the barracks and use it for leverage. "That's how I managed to open the door when you came here yesterday." he points out.

Gregeddin listens to the group and adds his own strength if he can still fit around the statue. He notes the sad tale of Shima and quietly thinks to himself "there are so many sad tales of the folk in this place, every face in the city, including those in this room have so much grief to speak of. I must be truly one of the fortunate ones, but I haven't made much of my own wealth to help others, yet."
