Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
"Well, you would need someone to sponsor you for membership," Azerath says. "Do you know any members?"
Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
After spending some time at the harbor, looking at the sea and enjoying the fresh air, Baeros looks around to see what shops can he spot from their position. Still not seeing Mist he waits for Val to decide when to leave.
Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
Ouragana blushes a little. "No, since I have just arrived here, the only person I've really met is you" she answers.
"So it seems like what I need to do is make some money so I can live here, and make myself a name. Thank you for the information." She nods and turns to leave. "Good-bye, and have a good day."
Unless Azerath calls her back, she leaves the guild house and returns to the Queen of Harts, via the harbor, in the hope of finding some cheaper breakfast in a stall on the way.

Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
Val looks for a spot along the edge of the harbor out close to the open sea before sending out her high pitched whistle. "Hopefully she made it."
Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
Baeros says reassuringly , "I'm sure she did. What can stop her?"
Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
Ouragana Stormbride (Thundergulls headquarters)
"Well," Azerath begins as Ouragana is already half-way out the door. "I might consider sponsoring you, if I can ask you a few questions about yourself."
Baeros and Val (Harbor)
After a few minutes, Mist appears about 50 yards out to sea, away from the boats and where the water is deep enough for her to swim in. She spouts a jet of water into the air as she emerges.

Ouragana returns to face Azerath with an open smile. "You can always ask" she answers. Her tone, however, suggests: 'but you might not always get an answer'.

Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
"Well, I can see from your garb and ring that you are a Storm Sorceress," Azerath begins. "So I need not inquire about your education. Therefore, the next most important question would be regarding your bloodline. Are there any wizards of note in your family tree? Magic usually runs in the family, you see. Even if your family has not produced any wizards for hundreds of years before yourself, it's still an important thing to know."
Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
"Oh..." Ouragana's voice trails off, then she swallows and says: "Well, I think I have to disappoint you there, I am a foundling. I know nothing at all about my bloodline.
What I do know is that magic came naturally to me, I was trained because I could do the little things called cantrips all by myself. And not long ago, in a situation of danger, i could suddenly float as if I had used the "Levitate" spell - which I don't know how to cast on purpose."

Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
Baeros stands near Val facing the sea, "You see, she is safe and sound. There is nothing to worry." and he continues looking at the whale, appreciating and enjoying the wonders of nature.
Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
"Ah, I am well aware of what a cantrip is," Azerath says. "I have been practicing magic for over 300 years, after all. Hmm, well, not knowing your heritage is a problem. It's something you'll need to know if you ever want employment for just about any guild, not just this one," he says, rubbing his chin. "Fortunately, finding out is an easy enough task--Divination! Ah, sadly we don't have any diviners here at the guild. They are hard to come by. Not as flashy as other mages; no 'pizazz' as the young folk say. But I know where you can find one; two, even."
The old elf continues, "First, you might try the priests of Gonto in Paradise City, on the island of Vaneil. Gonto is the goddess of knowledge and fate, among other things, so they are quite keen on divination. However, unless you are a follower of Gonto yourself, I imagine they will charge a hefty price for their services. The other option might be better--the most powerful arcane diviner I have ever known is none other than Headmaster Ozpin of the Storm Sorcerer Academy. Perhaps as you are an alumni of his school, you might have a better opportunity to seek an audience with him than most would."

Val stops. "I will meet you back at the inn in a bit, I am going for a swim and a ride." She promptly dives into the water without waiting for a reply. As she swims out, she once again whistles for her friend. Mounting up, she takes some time out to work with Mist, hopefully chasing down a fish or two.
Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
"I see" Ouragana says with a small nod. "Thank you for your information, I will think about it. And thank you for letting me study. For now, I need to go. Goodbye."
This time, she resolutely walks out of the door. Inside, she is storming. What was all that nonsense about her bloodline! As if it mattered more what one's parents were than what oneself could do, and how oneself behaved! She would most certainly not pay anything for knowing about her ancestry. She had had her "audience" with headmaster Ozpin, she guessed Azerath would have thought differently of her if he knew she had been his messenger just a few weeks ago... but she didn't want to play Azeraths's game. it had been a nice idea to live a life of comfort in this magically maintained beautiful city, and contribute to its comfort, but the terms and conditions were not hers.
She walks towards the harbor, looking for anyone of the group, then back to the inn.

Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
Baeros stares after Val unbelieving, his jaw drops a little bit. 'Such a rude woman!' he thinks to himself. 'I hope Mist will bite her finger off!' he continues angrily in his mind while turning and looking for a shop for leather and cloth work.
Re: CH. 10: Queen of Harts
Val plays with Mist while Baeros goes shopping. Ouragana searches the harbor, but has just missed them, so returns to the inn, still fuming.

(OOC: Just let me know what Baeros wants to buy, and I'll tell you how much it'll cost, BishGada.)
