After collecting his gear, Baeros leads the rest of the party into the woods, finding a small woodland glen for them to rest in while they recover, far enough away from the battle scene that they don't have to worry about dealing with whatever scavengers might come across the dead bugs and horse.

(OOC: You guys can take some time to roleplay and deal with inventory; when you're ready to move forward, let me know.)

Once Andar is settled, Jocelyn walks over to Arei and places her hand on the woman's shoulder before she starts praying to Octhanus. She does the same with Val before she finally sits down next to Andar. She has apparently decided to look over him since he is worse off than all of them. "I can't do anymore for anyone until tomorrow," she says as she pulls out the healing potion that she was given. She downs that for herself as she isn't exactly doing so well herself.

"I am out of spells for today, too" Ouragana tells the group. "But I'm happy about these new spells I learned, they were quite useful."
"This doesn't mean I can't protect you from bugs tonight, Jocelyn, that's a smaller spell called a cantrip."

"Baeros, could do you think you could scout around for food? Or would it be too dangerous to leave us here alone?"
"I have a few rations left, I can share so that everyone has something tonight, but that'd be the last time I can do it."

"That was a disaster," Areilon says. "We almost died."

Jocelyn heals the elf a little, the half-orc a bit more, and then drinks the potion, which helps a lot. The group is still in pretty bad shape, though.

=============

Jocelyn casts Cure Moderate Wounds on Areilon, restoring (1d10+1): 3 HP.
Jocelyn casts Cure Moderate Wounds on Val, restoring (1d10+1): 9 HP.
Jocelyn drinks a Potion of Healing, restoring (2d4+2): 9 HP.

(OOC: The party's current movement rate is down to 6, by the way, because Val is moderately encumbered. This means instead of reaching Tu'Vale in 5 days, they'll reach it in 10.)

"And you are part of the reason we almost died," Jocelyn points out. After all, she was the one that decided it was a good idea to start stabbing at the bugs while they were still attached to people. "You almost killed Andar."

"I was trying to save him!" Areilon objects. "Maybe if you hadn't wasted your healing spells on a horse, we wouldn't be in this situation!"

"A horse that carried all of our stuff," Jocelyn points out calmly. "Now we have to carry it all, which is weighing us down. It will take us longer to get to where we are going now," she says.

"But we should try to distribute the load more evenly, so everyone can travel at the same maximum speed" Ouragana points out.

Baeros raises his hands and waves angrily at the company members, "Shut up you all! Let's not fight among ourselves until we are safe again! Yes we almost died, and we are still in bad shape. Jumping on each other won't help. Now Thunder is dead, please show some respect! I'll go hunt when the sun set. Go rest now. If you will feel better Takit will join me, otherwise I'll hunt alone." With that Baeros takes some distance from the others and stays guard.

"I too wasted a potion on that horse, for the same reason. I have way too much crap to carry." Val adds. She begins to go through her stuff to decide what gets left behind.

"This net can stay, and I hope we won't need all of this rope." She doubles over the length of rope and cuts it in half before recoiling it.

"Jocelyn, do you really need that shield? It's not like you use it anyway. And we can always replace it later."

OOC: THat's my take on weight, I can dump the battle axe too I suppose if I am still heavy.

Ouragana walks over to Bearos. "Can you teach me what to pay attention to when on guard? Not tonight perhaps, but some other day?" she assks him.

Baeros looks at Ouragana a bit shocked. "Err... well... of course. Now go get some rest with the others. I need sometime alone." Baeros looks as the others rummage in their belongings deciding what to leave behind and his heart sinks again, but hearing Val muse about her battle-axe he says, "Don't leave your weapons behind. Rest for a while, try to heal, before we move on we will share the equipment so we can move as fast as possible."

=================================================================
(OOC: If we need to lose weight we can dump bedrolls and half-empty the water skins, depending on Jocelyn create water and hopefully finding a water stream to follow it's path. Also Val's armor seems quiet heavy, maybe she can loan some of it to Arei until we reach our destination. Baeros would also dump his shield if we won't find a way to spread the equipment among us and achieve much better movement. I can carry up to 85 lbr without reducing movement, so does Andar, so first lets shift gear to Andar and only if we are still under encumbrance lose the bedrolls, than half waterskins, and later the shields.)

The party tries to get some rest; they had just barely traveled a mile today before they were attacked, so they didn't get very far today.

Ouragana shares her rations with Val and Baeros so they can have dinner with everyone else.

When the morning finally comes, everyone feels a little better but everyone is still in bad shape.

===========

(OOC: Baeros is right, with his STR of 17, Andar is almost as good a pack-mule as Thunder. It might be worthwhile for the party to give him their heavier stuff to help speed up the party's movement rate.

Casters can pick new spells.)

(Jocelyn is going to replace all of her healing spells, and pretty much use them as soon as she gets them back. She'll also do Bless and Create Water again too.)

Once she has all of her prayers back, Jocelyn walks over to Andar, places her hand upon his shoulder, and begins praying to Octhanus to heal him. She then does the same to Arei as well. She then goes back to Andar, and throws another cure spell upon him, and uses the last one upon Arei again.

Jocelyn casts two healing spells on Andar, and two more on Areilon, restoring both to full health. She saves her lay on hands and last cure spell for later. She also casts Create Water, filling everyone's waterskins again.

Val is starting to smell even worse, as it's been two weeks since her last bath. Likewise, Ouragana, Baeros and Takit are all beginning to smell a bit, too.

=============

Jocelyn casts Cure Moderate Wounds on Andar, restoring (1d10+1): 8 HP.
Jocelyn casts Cure Moderate Wounds on Areilon, restoring (1d10+1): 3 HP.
Jocelyn casts Cure Light Wounds on Andar, restoring (1d8): 6 HP.
Jocelyn casts Cure Light Wounds on Areilon, restoring (1d8): 5 HP.
