"Yes, thank you for your aid, I appreciate your help." Arei smiles and waits for Ouragana to say something before responding.

Val wakes, still semi-confused. "W...at...er..." is all she can manage.

Jocelyn takes Val's waterskin and hands it over to her once she hears that she has awoken. "Drink it slowly," she says.

Ouragana had sat down with Areilon once the elf had come out of the tent. She nods to her comment. "Yes, we should try to communicate with them. But I'll help Val with her water first." She helps the half-orc to prop up and makes sure she doesn't drink too much at a time.

After that, she fetches her own waterskin and walks over to the tribal druid. She puts the waterskin down our of reach but in plain view of the woman, then removes her gag.
"Do you understand me? I will give you water if you tell me" she says in all the languages she knows (Common, Octhanian, Crizzan, Elven, Kobold).

Arei stands near Ouragana and the druid, her hand on her sword.

The tribal woman looks at the waterskin, then at Ouragana, but says nothing. When Areilon approaches, she glares darkly at the elf and mutters something incomprehensible--but it doesn't sound very pleasant.

Meanwhile, Dalaim takes to healing himself up a bit with his own magic.

Dalaim casts Cure Moderate Wounds on himself, restoring (1d10+1): 4 HP.
Dalaim casts Cure Light Wounds on himself, restoring (1d8): 5 HP.

Arei notes the look, and steps away, instead she sits by herself against a tree.

"Interesting" Ouragana comments. "Areilon was not involved in this fight, yes the druid is more hostile to her than to me. Let us see how she reacts to the others." She still keeps the water skin away from the druid.

Oren, Dalaim, and Grey decide to go along with Ouragana's suggestion and find that the woman becomes increasingly hostile when they get closer to her. She doesn't seem to react that way toward Jocelyn and Ouragana, however.

"I don't recognize anything she's saying at all, either," Dalaim mentions. "And I've studied every dialect of primitive human currently known."

"She has no doubt been treated badly but non humans, or her race simply dislikes anyone non-human." Arei suggests her voice loud enough to hear, "That dagger makes me thing her people have some connection to mine."

"It could be that, or the dagger could have belonged to someone they trapped a little more successfully than us" Ouragana agrees with Areilon. "Well, I suppose I need to give her a little of the water to keep her from dehydrating, but it is really a problem we cannot talk to her."

Ouragana lifts up the waterskin, shows it to the woman and says, clearly, "Water." She waits for the woman to repeat it.

The woman simply stares at Ouragana. Whether she comprehends and is refusing to cooperate or simply doesn't understand at all is not clear.

"So what do we do with them?" Oren asks. "Just leave them here, tied up? Kill them? Take them with us?"

"They are defenseless right now, so killing them is not an option," Jocelyn says as she walks over to the tribal woman. "Though, I wonder if they would have attacked the sailors if they were human?" she asks curiously as she holds out her holy symbol towards the woman to see if it gets any reaction from her.

The tribeswoman looks at the icon, then at Jocelyn, exactly in the same way she did with the water. If she recognizes it, she does not seem to show it.

Val drinks a little water then closes her eyes and sleeps.
