"Aha! getting close, thank you," acknowledges Linar. He casts Darkness on the stone as requested.

The Drow weaves his hands in the air as he draws forth violet tendrils of color wreathed in an inky stain that flickers like living fire. Crushing it into his closed hands a seed of ultimate blackness appears. Carefully he casts the seed onto the small stone in Nocturno's hand, and suddenly a spherical orb of magical appears around the elf. The Darkness is utterly perfect in shape with the exception of where it meets the ground.

Nocturno will grasp it tightly. Making sure to cover it completely.

Katten continues on, her keen eyes trying to find her friend, and yet dreading that she might encounter her at the same time.

Giving Chitt some scritches on his head, Jordek grabs hold and starts pulling Nitt and Wit out of his companion. Once out, Jordek tells Chitt to keep safe and be a lookout in the trees near the cave entrance.
To complete his preparations he casts magic stone on the stones he collected.

As long as the darkness spell works like the light spell.

Lead on to the beast. If you are able to sneak around it, I will engage from the front, and drop the darkness on me and the beast."

Nocturno encapsulates the darkened stone with his fist and Katten keeps pace with the wild elves as they pass into the darkness. Bullock prepares his darts and follows.

A small flying squirrel scurries out from Jordek's robes and he grabs it by the nape. Pinching an infinitesimally thin portion of fur, he pulls forcefully as he chants what seems to be ramblinh nonsensensical sounds. Chitt screeches and thrashes as two other squirrels are pulled out of his form in this way. He shakes himself mightiliy like a dog emerging from water and scuries up a nearby tree as the duplicates, newly formed, climb atop Jordek's shoulders.

Linar hangs towards the back as they approach...

Nocturno waits for instruction which way to head.

Or if instructed he will make noise to lure the beast, and pull down his eye covering.

As the group enters the natural cave, their eyes gradually adjust to the dim light near the eentrance. Many rocky formations of stalactites, stalagmites and irregular rubble.

As Noctuno covers near a column, the shape of one such pile nearby seems to become clearer... Details show a delicately featured elven woman in clerical vestments crouching defensively, her left hip and leg completely broken free and shattered nearby. Ahead he sees another near Dellinanth; a man lying on his side with large chunks cracked and broken from his torso. Other figures can be glimpsed in the gloom here and there, none apparently whole

Katten and the elves continue forward, wild elves in the fore, dark elf to one side, High elf center. She and Nocturno follow and it becomes clear that visibility and navigating blindly will be a challenge with all of the columns. They pass another petrified statue, this one apparently with his entire backpack unaffected. Finally, beyond, the crouched figure of petrified Dillosel comes into view. There is no sign yet of the creature...

Dillosel is the light grey square with the lighter circle at the top of the map
