Jerry glances around quickly to see if anyone near her appears to be significantly injured while asking, "Anyone badly hurt?"

If she sees anyone close that looks like, or claims to need, urgent healing she does so, otherwise focusing back on the pyramid to pop two more skeletons with a pair of Mystra's turquoise bolts.

Jerry fires off another pair of magical missiles, destroying one of the newly alerted skeletons and badly damaging another. Nearby, Cross and Adrestia hold their positions; prepared for any more approaching undead. The archers all fire their first volley, but shifting winds send their arrows off-course. Merrick’s stone, however, flies true; destroying the injured skeleton.

A single spear sails towards Artanis, but the cover of the canyon wall protects the ranger from harm. The druid’s assailant begins to lower itself down the Ziggurat. As soon as bony feet become visible over the edge of the lowest tier, Pyros is off like a shot to intercept. He flails ineffectually at the undead, swinging and stabbing too soon before it touches ground. The creature turns towards the Kender, a hateful red light burning in its empty sockets. Elsa moves up to support her friend, the silver studded mace catching naught but air.

Pytor draws his bow again, focusing on the bony figure looming over his Halfling friends. With a smooth release the shaft arcs almost elegantly through the air to its target. A splintering sound echoes back from the Zigurrat as the shot scatters the undead’s remains across the ground. Adran makes an impressive shot of his own, taking out yet another skeleton above.

If no skeleton is apparent to be coming down to him, he will jump the rope and see if there is one to attack.

Having stowed her mace, Jerry tests to see whether 'Echoes' effects a skeleton. Clearly they respond to sound, but aren't structurally complete compared to the living.

She casts Echoes on the skeleton in the middle of the top tier, interested to see if it will attack its nearest companion.

"Bloodye Skeletons! Is everything in this place dead? Are we dead?" Mira starts to ask as she lets the crossbow fall and takes up Elsa's Mace once more.

Staying away from the battle for now she begins to sing a rousing tune, The Knight who taught her it said it was sung in the days of old, when Men Rode into battle atop a Dragons..

She's going for inspiration, using her Bard Skill.

"Awesomke song!" comments Jerry. "One of yours?"

"I learnt it from a serious man called Sir Edward. Strange fellow.. a little repressed but not bad in bed.," She giggles. "He said it's an old song.. a very old so song."

"He had a way with words. Stirring words!" Jerry calls over her shoulder, eyes always on the undead. "You can tell me more later."

[Round 8]

Jerry takes out a small tin gong and tiny mallet. Speaking words of magic, she weaves arcane power into her component and strikes it with a tiiiiiing! that resonates far longer than one might expect. Suddenly the center skeleton on the topmost tier turns it’s head left and right as if searching for the source of some unseen noise.

Mira drops the crossbow and hefts her borrowed mace. She begins to recite a song of battle and adventure; hoping to embolden the others. Her song reaches all but the halflings, and the emotion of it begins to stir within her allies. Cross and Adrestia hold position near the archers in case any undead come near.

Pytor fires at one of the second tier skeletons preparing to attack the party, damaging it badly. Adran scores a hit against the other undead on that same level. Merrick’s sling stone catches one hard in the skull, destroying it. Artanis fires as well, but his shaft lands nowhere near his target.

Pyros’ patience wears thin and he is about to climb up to meet the enemy when another spear flies from above and he hears the telltale scratching of one of the creatures clambering down. As it lowers itself to the canyon floor he strikes with his weapons, but over-eagerness robs him of efficacy. Still, he gets the thing’s attention as the skeleton turns to attack the halflings! Elsa makes quick work of the new foe, crushing it with her mace. Nice teamwork! she beams at the rogue.

Another volley of arrows from the party falls upon the defenders of the Ziggurat at the highest tier; each striking their mark. The three skeletons visible from the ground raise their spears in preparation to engage!
