with the other's attention on shima, Grubnick steps back out of the area of magical silence and attempts to magically hold both magnus and nora.

Shima does the same again.

Noticing Fiona continually (and ineffectively) shooting at his former friend; Haahqae tries to convince her to switch targets. Logic dictates that if he's unable to move now; he may stay that way for a good while yet.

"Let's focus on the black haired woman for now. The black-robe seems to be about as useless as he usually is, so a girl with a crossbow is a bigger threat and should be eliminated first."

With that said; Haahqae turns back to his true enemy here. She had said that she'd performed for royalty. Was she talking about whoring herself out to the dragon-army? And as a self-declared sorceress she doesn't wear any robes that would make one believe it.

Action: Shoot twice at Yvette; if she falls switch targets to shoot at Burzan.

Kendra is aware of the fact that her swords are heating up, but she knows she can hold on to them for a short amount of time. Unfortunately, she can feel bile rising up from her throat as she watches Sadron fall. The urge to stop him from bleeding out forces her to stagger on her feet (though his could be easily explained as her wounds are affected her). Realizing that she cannot hesitate anymore, she takes a step forward and attacks William with her heated swords as she fights back her own emotions in this situation. Apparently, this was the path that she was choosing.

Kendra steps over Sadron to start slashing at William. But his chain mail and shield makes it far harder for her to hit him. What's more, her swords continue heating up in her hands, burning her hands. Raena seems to be having the same problem, because she swears and drops both of her axes to the ground as they continue to heat up. However, Raena's chain mail is also heating up, and that's far harder to take off. "You won't succeed," William tells Kendra. "In the name of Paladine, I will stop you all!" He swings his blade at her, and it glows with a holy light. When it hits, she feels a shockwave of pain wash over her body as the wrath of the Platinum Dragon cuts through her.

Magnus fires a second acid arrow at Shima, and this one he only just barely dodges in time. Nora comes up behind him and hits him from behind with her mace. Gobax then comes out of hiding and casts his spell again. This time, it is Nora who freezes in place. Magnus, however, seems completely unaffected. "You two are beginning to annoy me slightly now," he says. Shima manages to stab the wizard with the cloakpin...but it simply bounces off his skin, as if it were made of stone. It doesn't even pierce him!

Working together, Haahqae and Pen manage to take down Yvette with their stones and arrows. She silently drops to the ground, unmoving. Any last words she may have had are not heard.

Kendra lets out a cry of pain as she backs away from William. She drops her swords as they are getting too hot as well. "Burzan, take my spot with the cleric," she says.

Tulbas contemplates on the sad situation. Few more successful maneuvers from their enemies and there will be nothing to stop them from walking slowly to him and cut him down.

As I expected. Kendra is a real threat, but their ranged support is incompetent. Let's see if I can do something about our fallen ally.

Haahqae would love to make his downed enemies pay for what they've done on a more permanent basis then just giving them a few wounds that they can heal from with the help of their dark goddess; but as he assesses the situation he realizes he has a chance to really turn the tide of the battle, and do it subtly.

The key here was that he'd found himself in a corner far away from everyone except pen; and the kender was looking away from him to direct his missiles into a new target. The sounds of battle would cover for a quiet chant, and even Tulbas was turned away from him and couldn't see what he was doing. And most importantly Magnus still was nowhere to be seen.

So Haahqae takes a calculated risk.

Chanting the words needed for his spell, Haahqae concentrates on a point behind his large enemy and crushes a bit of bone in his left hand.

Action: Cast "scare" behind Burzan. It has a 15 foot radius, so I want to target it in a way that it hits Burzan, Raena and Kendra, but not Miriam or William.

Shima stabs the person that just hit him. On seeing that that foe is out of it, the dwarf takes the foe's weapon (in his off hand).

Dropping her heating up swords, Kendra backs away and lets Burzan takes her place. Raena tries to use her crosbow, but to no avail as her armor continues heating up, and she drops. Miriam cuts down Burzan a few moments later. Kendra now finds herself with nobody standing between her and Miriam and William. Further, her swords are still glowing red hot on the ground.

Shima turns his back on Magnus, and stabs the cloakpin into Nora. As she is paralyzed, she offers no resistance. The poison works quickly, and she suddenly drops to the ground, unconscious. Shim ais then engulfed in flame that erupts from Magnus' fingertips. This leaves the dwarf in terrible agony, but he is still on his feet, albeit just barely.

Meanwhile, with Burzan and Raena now down, Pen and Fiona turn their attention to Tulbas. The kender nails the young mage in the back of the head, shattering his armor spell in the process. His shield spell still stands, though, but it only protects his front. Meanwhile, Haahqae unleashes a powerful fear spell that leaves Kendra practically shaking in terror.

Grubnick knew shima couldn't hold off the mage long. He wished henhad more time for healing, but things were getting desperate in their corner of the fight; and he had no idea how the rest of the battle was going. Praying to Sirrion for his grace, the goblin slaps his hands together and Evokes forth a blade of pure flame!

Kendra watches as her two main warriors fall in front of her, and she takes a quick survey of what exactly is going on with everyone else. Magus was in trouble, the cleric was down, and Tulbas was still doing nothing. Her swords were still glowing, and there wasn't anything she could do really as she was pretty badly hurt herself. "...I surrender," she says as she drops to her knees.
