"Very strange" Eringard comments. She looks at the man's face, does he have an air of familiarity about him?
She turns to Elianna and asks, matter-of-factly: "Did it look like sex could have been part of what this man and whoever fled have been doing?"

"Midday, eh?" Gimak asks casually. "I'll let them know. Where abouts can we find this constable then?"

"I find that very doubtful." Elianna says with a raised eyebrow, "The creature I saw was not the sort of creature one would enjoy having a sex act with."

"Someone should get the guard. They can deal with him." She says backing away and reaching Maria. "Not a pretty sight."

Eringard nods. "You're right, dealing with this is the job of the constable, not ours. He's not in immediate danger. Could you do that when you head back to the inn?" she asks Elianna and Traern.

She now resolutely goes on to Margary's house.

"That would be a good idea. And we should check if any of the others were attacked in this way.." Elianna says as she walks away from the body, part of her wanted to help, and now, but she knew it would only draw attention to them.

Timmy eavesdrops the conversation, wondering just what this group has done. He sits back and stares into his cup before taking a drink.

Raina frowns as she watches the scene. ~Maybe Gimak's suspicions were right,~ she thinks to herself.

The orc Marrakt laughs, though not in a friendly or welcoming way. "The big stone tower on high ground. The Constable's Tower. You and your friends don't show? Well you had best not be in Daggerdale if that's the case." He gives Gimak one last lingering look before turning away with his flunkies and heading for the door. Speech levels quickly rise to an excited buzz, all eyes on Gimak though most are polite enough to hide it.

Maria is standing back in the alley, pointedly not looking in that direction. Her face is still rosy with embarrassment though she tries not to show it. She goes along with Elianna and Traern quietly enough (back to the Teshford Arms, or will you make a stop somewhere to alert a guard?).

Eringard is greeted and welcomed by her friend Margary who's obviously awake but her whole house is shuttered as it would be for a storm. The woman's home is simple, but warmed by many bodies and the hearth embers.

(Elianna will call past a guard, telling him about the body and then disappear, something like this would draw too much attention to them.)

"We need to tell someone about the body, but right now we stick out too much, I wouldnt be surprised if they think we injured him.. I've been among them, speak thier language.." She says as they walk back, "Traern, can you escort Maria home? I'm a big girl, I can look after myself."

If there is no arguments she will head to the nearest guard post, pulling her hood over her head, and wrapping her cloak around her body to hide her sword.

After a bit of polite conversation and gossip about their extended family (Margary is not only a friend, but also a cousin), Eringard tries to gain as much information as possible about the disease from margary, trying to tell facts from gossip wherever possible. Of course, she will also mention the house being more shuttered than she knew it to be.
If there is a window facing the sun, Eringard will want to greet the dawn from it, otherwise, she leaves the house. Unless Margary invites her to stay for breakfast, she will have breakfast at the inn in town, and try to get information from there, too.

(OOC: I don't think we should hold everyone else up while wrtiting out the conversation)

Gimak says nothing as they depart. Instead, he waits for a barmaid to bravely make an appearance, then waves her over--gold piece in hand--for a drink. He really needed one now.

Now that the guards were gone, Raina walks down the stairs to join Gimak. "You all right?" she asks. "I saw what happened from on top of the stairs. What do you think that was all about?"

"I'm fine," Gimak assures Raina. "Seems we have a mandatory meeting with the constable tomorrow. The whole lot of us."

To Elianna's request, Traern simply says: "No." Then, seeing her expression, he continues: "I am no nursemaid. Leave the child here with the priestess if you will."

Traern will head back to the tavern alone if Elianna has an errand of her own to run. He has not rented a room, but will instead find a hayloft or a sheltered corner of a rooftop (preferably near a chimney) to shelter in for the night.

"Looks like you are with me." She says to Maria with a shrug. "Keep behind me, and... trust me." she adds with a wink.
