BLII - Out of Character Chat

Here's the schedule of events:

11:00 Festival Begins
12:30 Jousting Tournament
1:00 Royal Procession
1:30 Royal Court
2:00 Fashion Show
3:00 Maypole
3:30 Jousting Tournament
4:00 Castle Siege
4:45 Final Court
5:00 Festival Closes

Not much goes on before the first jousting show, so 12:00 would probably be a good time to arrive. Also, there is a beach on the site, and some nature trails, so it you are not up for a full day of medieval stuff, you can commune with nature. And pack a lunch. There are food vendors at the fair, but the food lines are long, the food is expensive and somehow it gets cold about two seconds after you step away from the vendor's stand.

If you are trying to find me, just ask any of the fighters to point you towards Sir Nico, or look for a guy in black armor and a black helmet, wearing my heraldry - a black unicorn's head over three red stripes.

Jen - as a writer, you would appreciate this.
I had a flash of inspiration, one that wouldn't exactly have fit in with the information already presented (it would have caused a big plot hole, in other words) but it would have been so amazingly disquieting to you, my players, that I considered putting it in anyway.

When Angel said to Salia:

"I am sorry, I did not mean to bring up such bad memories. You owe him a great deal then, I understand, a loss of that kind is terrible, I too know the loss of a Mother."

I thought of saying:

"It's alright," Salia replies. "I still get to see her. Master Fraso animated her as a zombie and he keeps her in the cellar."


It would have taken the campaign into a much much darker place, not somplace I really want it to go, but it would have been so cool.

I was totally waiting for something a LOT darker than that! Something along the lines of "Master Fraso offered us a place to live in exchange for our mother's body. He never lets me see it, though, even though I can hear her talking sometimes at night..."


AND....black armor? What happened to that awesome maroon leather armor that you had?

Bastian glances at Angel as she starts to get more friendly with her charge than he is comfortable with. Quickly he looks away making sure that Salia's guardians (Both Fraso and her brother) are not casting an evil eye her way.

Sorry, are my posts getting too much? I do hope that they aren't.

AND....black armor? What happened to that awesome maroon leather armor that you had?

I've always had black leather armor with bits of steel mixed in. You may be thinking of someone else, or you may have mistaken me for someone else in the photos.

It's been a while since I've seen a pic of you in armor. I think I was remembering the red beneath the black and in my mind (after a few years) it came across as maroon. =P

As far as Bastian remembering someone on horseback.....again, chalk that up to my bad memory. I've been working odd hours and the sleep deprivation is catching up to me! lol

I got home about two hours ago from two days of faire, and I am exhausted. I'm chalking it up to the really bad night's sleep I got last night rather than due to the fighting I did today or to the fact that I was in armor for six hours.

Jen just asked me to excuse her in all the padnd games, she had a night shift at work last night and today's day shift as well.

Guess Stik is looking for a way of folding me into the story. Maybe these funny elves have me and are willing to trade me for the body .

I thought I had said earlier to just jump on in.
It's not something I like to do, dropping a PC into a game like Scotty just beamed him down from the Enterprise, but any other method would lead to long delays.
Assume Kutz joined up before leaving town for reasons of your own choosing.

Awww poor Kutz, he appears and the two "Chick Chicks" are off enjoying themselves..

Well, actually they have been confronted by a bunch of strange Elves...

Of course if Kutz followed them without them knowing.. He'd be right in the middle of the 'action'. Just a thought.

Depending on the character, I'm sure there's some way you could interrupt the 'negotiations' that are going on with Liri and Angel.

It feels so fun that you're discussing a character named Kutz... my best male friend is called Kutz and I must constantly remind myself it's not he who is meant... their personalities, as much as I can tell by now, are very different...
