Nocturno picks up a pebble.
"Here." He throws it to Linar.

"Simple enough. Lasts ten minutes. Let me know when," answers Linar and waits patiently.

We are ready. Dellinanth says, indicating himself and Indendien. I will go first, since I know where she is. I cannot ask anyone to follow, but my eternal thanks are to any who will. The wild elf moves towards the cave entrance, Indendien close behind

Linar pulls out a 'blinding cloth' and ties it round his forehead ready to pull down. There are no eyes drawn on it.
Getting out his bow he nods once to indicate he volunteers and is ready.

"You know I am right at your side, but perhaps allow me to go first?" She pauses, "Could magic make me not visible? Creature not see me and I sneak behind?"

"Cave eh?" Jordek says. "Well I'm blind in the dark anyway. I may as well be blindfolded and hold a torch. If you all keep out of the light I should be perfect bait. Just please kill it before it kills me..." Squaring his shoulders , he straightens his small frame "I'm not going to be much use as far as fighting goes but distractions, I think I can handle that."
Addressing Katten's latest remark, "If it were a normal beastie, I could do that. Alas this is no normal beastie."

Nocturno picks up another stone. Holds it between his thumb and index finger.
"Cast here. I will keep it in my fist until I get close to the monster."

Re: Act 2, Scene 1: "A Flicker of Hope" (Main Game Thread)
"Are we less than ten minutes away from it?"
Re: Act 2, Scene 1: "A Flicker of Hope" (Main Game Thread)
"That I don't know."
Re: Act 2, Scene 1: "A Flicker of Hope" (Main Game Thread)
Linar remains quiet, thinking that he's made enough of the point already.

"Since no one seems to keen on my idea, I suppose darkness it is. I'll try to support as much as I am able. When we get closer I'll pull out some of Chitt's doubles and perhaps they could ride with Nocturno until he closes with the beastie and they can help distract it.".
He starts scrounging for pebbles for his magic stone spells.

Jordek easily finds a handfull of suitable stones as Dellinanth and Indendien move into the cave cautiously
Re: Act 2, Scene 1: "A Flicker of Hope" (Main Game Thread)
Nocturno will hold the stone up for the casting.
Once completed he will close his hand around it.

"We need to wait until we're less than ten minutes from the creature," says Linar. "Perhaps someone could try doing the tracking thing? And maybe we should move along towards its hunting area, before we run out of daylight." The elf doesn't mention that he actually functions best without daylight.

Re: Act 2, Scene 1: "A Flicker of Hope" (Main Game Thread)
[it is unclear to the current party whether or not the gaze works with infravision. The only known hunting area for the creature is the cave they are about to go into where Dillosel was petrified only a few hundred yards away from where they now stand. The party does not know how deep the cave is.]
