"One could probably hear her a mile away," Imani says softly to Jerrard, Ulster, and Thuskar as she motions for them to follow her to join up with the other three. "What did you find?"

"Something was here and moved off in the same direction as we're going" Babushka tells the rest of the group. "Look here. About human-sized from the stride it has, and three toes. Ans sorry, I forgot about the noise Locky's armor makes, I just wanted to keep her involved."
(As everybody knows, a bored kender is a liability to themselves and anyone with them...)

"Three toes? Eww," Ulster comments.

"Can you tell what made such a track?" Thuskar asks.

"Let me take a closer look" Babushka says and bends down, following the track a few paces.

Babushka determines the tracks belong to a draconian, alright. The only kind of draconian she had ever encountered before were Baaz, but this was not a Baaz--one of the other types that she was less familiar with. It was alone.

After following the tracks for a few yards, Babushka straightens, a satisfied look on her face. "These look draconian, but no Baaz, some other kind. Bronze by what I saw earlier, and alone. What is not so good is that it has probably run off to tell others that we're coming, so we should be very alert."

"Draconians?" Jerrard curses, "Why would they be so deep in the forest?" rubbing his still unkept beard he shakes his head. "Who knows how many there are of them?" a little thought springs into his mind, that perhaps they have Malika..

Locky shuffles slightly, her ears perking up, "Draconians? How interesting."

"From the looks of it, they seem to be ahead of us," Imani says. "So, we just need to be alert at the moment," she explains. "We can't jump to any real conclusions yet."

"Yes, let us hope they haven't seen or heard us, and proceed."
Babushka shows she is ready to move on.

Fikod keeps his crossbow out and ready (can he move at the same rate as the party if he is MS/HS?). "What draconian devils are these? Rumors reach Thorbardin but I can no say I ever looked upon one. Reorx keep it so, do they really explode when they die? Or was it an acidic sludge?"

Locky walks on with the group, lost in thought.

"We have only met Baaz.. and they turn to stone." Jerrard answers Fikod. "I have heard of others, the old warriors told of those that exploded, and I believe some are magical."

"That's right," Ulster says. "We met Baaz in Khur. We also met some here in this forest, shortly after we arrived. That was a tough battle. I almost died," he admits quietly.

The group continues forward without further incident, for at least half an hour. It's then that a new noise is heard from the south--rhythmic hissing chants which rise and fall in perfect time. There are no discernible words.

"But you didn't." Locky says with a grin, grabbing the man's arm a moment, "What's that?" she asks, worried.
