Krtk speaks up when Amon finishes talking. "Can we go to the old house? We want to sleep until dark, then hunt. Wild animals, not animals in fence. You can find us there."

"Hmm...that might work," he says, forgetting to translate to the others. He turns to Geraldine. "Nobody goes back to the old mansion anymore, now that it's been searched and cleaned out, right?"

"You seem to have this under control now." Brax bows, turning back to the Village, seeing who will follow her as she walks away. "I will say nothing if asked." She adds.

"Hmmm... nobody has business there any more, but I can't rule out someone curious might go have a look, teenagers in particular" Geraldine says thoughtfully. "Why do you ask?"

Searos follows after Brax, having grown bored of the gnolls and their very distinct odor.

"The gnolls wish to return there. That might be best, as it keeps them out of the public eye. We'll need to make sure the mansion stays off-limits to the townsfolk, though," Amon explains. To the gnolls he says, "Old house good. Can hide there. No let people see you."

"Good." The gnolls jerk up their heads at Amon, exposing their throats, then turn and trot over in the direction of the old mansion.

"Do not think me flippant." She comments to Searos as they walk. "I helped the Gnolls, made Amon realise that they are his problem now.." She grins.
"You do not like me do you? Despite everything.." She asks bluntly, never changing her stride, or her composure.

"I assume we are done now?" Echo asks as she turns to head back to the inn.

Geraldine turns to Vee. "Miss Veelayana, you said something about watching the gnolls earlier... should the two of us enjoy today's nice weather and roam around the countryside, making sure the gnolls do what they said they would?"
In response to Echo's question, she says. "Yes, I think we are done here then."

"One last question: why hide them? They are working with us now. We can walk right into town with them and say so. We only have to hide them if we are afraid of being found out. And we're not doing anything wrong, then what do we have to be afraid of?
"Amon, we should bring them back to your father's house, set them up in a guest room, make them welcome. After all, treating them as monsters makes us the true monsters does it not?
"In any case, regardless of where they end up, I think I shall spend some time with them today, to get to know them a bit. How many folk here speak their language, and would be willing to translate for me"

"I don't think that the people will be absolutely happy if we say that we are big best friends with these Gnolls now. It's more probably that they get in panic if we give them a guest room wouldn't you agree me?" Vee says to Drake wondering where he had lost his mind....
"Ok, good point, Let's go" she says to Geraldine, "we should follow the Gnolls before they're out of view"

Searos glances at Brax as they walk. "I don't trust priests."

"Pelor teaches that distrust just feeds itself, to truly accept others one must trust them." She says almost serenely, "However, old habits are still there, I do try to fight them."

"I'm sure your sun god does preach that. I'm sure you believe it. What I'm less certain about are the ways priests get people to act on it. Near as I can tell, in the city, all the gods preach that their collection plates should be filled. Far as I'm concerned, priests and I are in the same business, relieving people of their ill-used valuables. I'm just a little more honest about it, ya feel me?"
