[OOC] Can someone give me a "typical" marching order for the group, in case it becomes important?
Maughus will at times ride point, but more often he will be ranging far afield from the group. He has his own way of doing things, and you should be plenty strong now for him to take off from time to time for a few minutes or a few hours. [/OOC]

OOC: Calah up front with Liri, Galanis to the left side of the wagon. Angel to the right. Egg and Bastian to the rear.

The road indeed beckons, and the wagon gets underway with the ease of habit. The road, although not up to legion maintenance standards, is in fair shape, better than the tracks Maughus has brought the group on previously, while trying to be covert.
There is very little traffic on the road, and the day passes quickly as the road rolls by under the wagon's wheels. Maughus is often absent from the head of the column, ranging about and only occasionally checking in.
Two hours before sundown Maughus the group crests a hill and finds Maughus waiting the road. "Five miles from here, there is a former way station. The place is rarely used these days, but a family still lives there. Or we can keep to the road and pass it by. I know some quiet sheltered places farther on."

"Calah, Liri, go with Maughus and scout the station when we get a little closer. These roads are used.. Well they are used by more people. I'd rather we check it out before we get too close." Angel commands on the Rangers return, loosening both blades as she does so.

"Don't have to tell me twice," Calah says. The short, dark haired woman gives her gear a quick check and falls in with Maughus, wordlessly from that point.

Liri just nods and steers Casta with her legs only to follow Calah, loosening some of the darts in her bandolier.

Galanis sings while riding at the wagon flank.

Calah directs a sly smirk at Galanis as she turns to follow Maughus and Liri away. She chuckles quietly about something as she rides away.

"Everyone pull up closer to the wagon, take a corner and keep your eyes open." Angel says with some urgency, "Check those weapons, I want them ready if anything happens." Hopefully letting Liri go proves her change in attitude.

"Hopefully we will find a place to rest my lord." She says to Fraso, glancing for a moment for Salia.

"Perhaps we had best keep moving," Papa says. quietly. "If all is well at the way station, we are wasting time sitting here. If not, we shall know before we get there."

(I assumed we were still moving)

Galanis is somewhat surprised by Angel tension. He looks around for danger, then gives up. But he checks his weapons anyway.

"There is something out there, something watching us.. " Angel mutters under her breath, "Let's get that wagon moving." She says out loud.

Galanis raises his brows skeptically, but then gets closer to Angel, "Don't worry so much. If there is something there we will face it. Trust in the gods above and our mutual force. We will deal with it and have the upper hand." and he put his hand on her shoulder in a comforting way.

"Gods? Eldamus protects us.. That is all I need to know." She responds solemnly, "The gods do not interfere, they give the task to those they trust." Tapping her sword hilt she scans the area.

"You did not see.. This mission.." She sighs.. "Perhaps I am being overprotective."
