Act 3 Scene 1: Arrivals and Leavetakings

[Jenara]

"I won't ask where." Mira decides, finding room for the pair of them and waiting to see what Pyros had to say.

[Jenara]

Karl raises a hand to Mira and Sabrina, and sits next to Del if allowed. "How are you this morning? I hope the affects of the evil thing you were affected with has since passed your system?" He asks the Young woman as he waits to order.

[Nocturno]

Stowing the new dagger he lays out the notes after wiping off the table.

"This one I copied."

The notes seem to be little reminders, something about 'feeding' Meekulberry bushes across the river...

"Like I said, I won't ask where it came from. Jackques.. Well he didn't like us much, and won't like anyone again. So I guess the crosses mean they aren't alive anymore. Akriel we know, I know Airand, so does Merrick. These other names.." She squeezes Sabrina's hand, "Do you know any of these names?" she asks the Girl in Harmonian.

[Nocturno]

"I'm pretty sure this came from the Bartender at the Ol' Ka-tar-kraken Inn" He will slowly fumble through that name.
"He also sold me this mustard to put on my nose so I can see if someone is one of them beastmen we keep running into!" He pulls it out. Then quickly pockets it.
Very quietly. "Right, not supposed to let people see that."

"This other one also came from someone who lived above the Inn. Why would you feed bushes!?!"

Sabrina shrugs at the list, not recognizing any names.

Merrick looks at the second note, curiously. Yes, that is odd... "Feed the Meekulburn tonight."

Iscind Aranya

Iscind places an order for "Bread with a dollop of honey to dip it in. A slice of bacon, so long as its not too greasy, and tea, lots of tea, might as well bring a pot as I know Esker will want some too. My da used to say a true warrior, like tea, shows his strength when in hot water. And since I met Esker, hot water is all I find myself in."

She then quietly listens to the conversation, a habit she found most useful. You can learn much about a person by what they say and how they say it. For now silence was best, till she saw the truth of these new acquaintances.

"Morning all," Jerry greets the group, hair mussedand still looking tired. She looks to Merrick, "Yes, I know. Mine were much worse last night."

The Mystran reaches for some pastries and gestures for someone to kindly pass the tepot. Without looking at the little felow she says, "Pyros, my comb, if you please!"

After delicately chewing the pastriesfrom Merrick Jerry says quietly, "As some of you know, I've been working to make a book, one that's essential if I'm to progress, um, professionally. It's expensive though and I'm still two fifty coins* short of what I owe for materials. I don't like to, but I need to ask, would any of you be able to help me with that?"

Del nods at Karl. "Uh it is fine, if I did not want you to sit next to me I would have said something, Sir Karl. Well, as a

matter of fact I am feeling much better, thanks for asking. You're the only one who actually asked about my health. We sure seem to be a lot of people

gahering together. I may be outgoing and can be elaborate, but if I am to actually be in such a big group I might be a little unsettled, I usually keep

to myself or a smaller group."

She smiles and goes about observing the gathered group. She is still trying to figure out what she is going to do in this strange new place and

how she might put her skills to use. Again she looks around the table, gauging who might know about her types of skills.

Turning to Karl, she asks "Sir Karl, what do most of you do here, with purpose I mean. Do you adventure? Can a person

find work and solve problems for money? WHere I am from I could find a guild and get work there but I am unsure I can do the same

here."

[Jenara]

"Feed the Meekulbrau tonight.." she ponders the meaning of it for a moment. "I wonder." Taking Sabrina's hand she gives her a small smile.. "I was curious that's all." She explains

"Jerry, I can loan you some. I did want to pool together and get some horses to get us there sooner. And that takes Money. I could probably let you have say 75. If that helps?"

A little bit of everything [1d100]=32 (30%) sooo close!

"It's fine. I just don't know those people. Arkiel comes in sometimes, but the others.." she shrugs. "Oh Del isn't it? I did mean to ask how you are?" She asks Del in slightly slow and deliberate Elven. (She didnt know Karl asked or that Del replied as she doesn't speak common)

"You looked like one of the drunks we usually refuse to serve, no offense." She giggles and snuggles into Mira.

[Jenara]

"Let's see, Mira and Pyros are caught up in something I feel I should not be included in, my honour is prescious. I should not betray it. Jerry is struggling from the Nightmares. Sabrina doesnt speak common, and the others are quite new. I don't think it's to cause offence, just that we are all adjusting." Stroking his mustache he considers his reply.

"Right now, we are trying to get home. We believe we have a way, and someone who will help us. I have men waiting on my return, we have a war to win. Here.. I believe you carve your own path. It would be a honour if you carved that path with us. Bayard my trusted steed will bear us both if you are willing?"

"Thank you; 75 would be good," says Jerry, mopping up the flakes from her pastry. "Just 175 to go.." she adds with a look at Merrick.

[Nocturno]

"If I came across bushes that could eat. That might be worse than the manbeasts. When I make a list everything on it usually has something in common. Like food, or supplies." He furrows his brow.

Totally engrossed he doesn't really hear anyone else. Except for pulling a brush out of his pockets, and handing it to Jerry without looking at her.

Jerry accepts that brush, "Thank you, shortcake!" and then stands up and shakes her hair.
She moves away from the table and mostly out of sight brushes her hair out, removing knots and then 'tames' it once more.
