"Catch a murderer, and still get charge with crimes," Jocelyn says in obvious amusement. "I never much cared about laws, but the option to me is pretty obvious," she says with a shrug. "I don't mind being guilty of the charges, and leaving the island."

"I don't see we have much choice. Would you allow us the time to collect our things and bathe?" Arei asks, she wanted off this island anyway. "And you would return the items you confiscated?"

Thorola says to Jocelyn matter-of-factually, "You may have caught him, but you broke three laws to do so. The ends do not justify the means. What if you had been wrong? Imagine a world without laws; where someone could break into your home and attack you because you might be guilty of a crime, with no due process or trial? The laws exist for a reason."
To Areilon, she says, "You will have at least 12 hours to vacate the island. Actually, there's a ship in the harbor right now--the Bullring. I've made arrangements with the captain, and she's agreed to take you aboard should you agree to the plea bargain. She'll take you wherever you wish to go, on the condition that you first help her protect the ship while she transports some cargo to the north. The ship is scheduled to leave in a few hours--at noon, I believe. I strongly suggest you be on it when it does." She leans back a bit. "As for your possessions, they will all be returned to you if you accept."

"Then I for one accept." Arei says arms crossed. "Oura, Val?"

"I believe a bit differently than you, but I grew up in Draska, so that might be why," Jocelyn says. She didn't want to get into a debate with the warden.

"I accept the deal" Ouragana says simply. She, like Jocelyn, was of a different opinion about laws, but she had learned she'd better not discuss with the wardens.

"Me go too. It's time." Val states. She has had enough of the silly dwarves and their rules anyway.

"Very well then," the captain says. "It is settled." She calls for the guards outside. "Escort these four outside and return to them their belongings. They have twelve hours to leave the town; if any of them are found after that, they are to be arrested immediately." To the four she adds, "Farewell, and good luck."
With that, their confiscated items are returned and they are allowed to go free.

"Back to the inn, a bath, and then take our belongings and board the ship?" Ouragana suggests. "Over time, I can mend our clothes magically, I will study the spell for that." she offers.

"Sounds perfect, and clothes are never the same once they are ruined, I will buy new." Arei says strapping her blade round her waist and slipping the pistols in her belt. "A bath yes, and then I am getting on that ship. All that work, and nothing...." She shakes her head, auburn curls flying around as she gives the keep a scowl. "Lets go."

Jocelyn walks back to the inn, after getting her stuff, without saying much other than the occasional mutter about how sore she is.

Inside the common room of the Paragon Inn sits Brock, Oren, Grey, Noah and Pearl at a large table. The waiter is present, too, but not sitting with them. He's cleaning up the plates and glasses from the table where the group obviously just finished breakfast.
Upon their entrance, the group all turn toward them in surprise. "Hey, it's them!" Pearl says.
"Mercy!" Noah says. "You look awful; like you've been through a meat grinder."
"We heard you were arrested but weren't sure how long you'd be detained," Brock says. "Didn't think you'd get out that quick."

"I feel like I've been through one," Jocelyn says to Noah as she takes a seat at a table. "We have 12 hours to get off the island, or we will be arrested," she explains. "We still broke the law, and they can't let that slide, even though we caught the murderer, so this is our plea bargain. We admit to the crimes we committed, and leave the island."

"Could we have a bath, please?" Ouragana asks Brock. "And thank you very much for the wand, it was most useful." She makes a gesture of giving it back to him.

Val follows. "Is there a ship leaving in 12 hours I wonder." she says out loud.
She will make sure she collects her belongings to ready for departure.
