Arei heads over to where she saw the blood, motioning to Oura she leans down. "Blood a few days old, which fits with what I was told. But, someone was watching me." She shudders "I could feel it somehow."

Jocelyn looks around the area as the other two check out the blood. "I wonder why they are occurring here."

"I wondered that too, I thought perhaps there might be some history related to this site.. Perhaps the Church might hold some knowledge?" Arei comments.

Val looks around as well, not really sure what she might be looking for.

Val searches the area while the others talk, but finds nothing of importance.

Val makes an INT check (1d20): 17, fail. She finds no clues.

Dahn decides to stay behind to see if he can gather anymore information from the locals.
The gnome scans the inn for any possible informants.

"The murder does not need to be commited here, the body could have been brought here from elsewhere. But I am no healer, I don't know for how long bodies bleed." Ouragana observes. "Have you asked the miller? And where have you been last time, what have you found besides this blood?"

Dahn scans the common room for patrons. Aside from Noah, who is in the process of ordering a massive breakfast from Brock the bartender, there are several others: a female halfling minstrel trying to earn a few coins by playing the ocarina, an aging dwarf sits alone, scribbling on some parchments, a cup of tea at his table long since gone cold. There is a trio of dwarven women (one somewhat young, one fairly old, and one quite ancient) sitting together, talking and drinking ale. A pair of female gnomes (one old, one young) sit near the fire, eating in silence. Finally, there's a larger table with five humans (four men and a woman) being quite boisterous and enjoying food and drink.

Dahn approaches the minstrel and tosses five gold into her cup.
"Hey, there." Dahn says. " Think you can manage a break for some conversation?"

Figured....

It doesn't take much searching for 'whatever' before Val figures she isn't much help and looks for a spot to sit down. Preferably in the shade.

"I found the strangely fresh blood, and lots of older brown blood stains in the doorway, no sign of the Miller." Giving the group a shrug she shudders slightly.

"Look I know you think its crazy being here, but have you ever had a strange feeling like you are being watched?" Turning towards the windmill, her dress fluttering in the breeze she moves back to the door. "Sorry, I didn't mean this to be a waste of time."

Paragon Inn
The halfling stops playing and flashes Dahn a smile. She glances in the hat, does a double-take, and quickly scoops up the five gold coins. "Wow! This is more than I've made all week! You bet!" Pocketing the coins and plopping the hat on her head, she then loops her arm with Dahn's and leads him to a nearby table. Sitting down, she asks, "Say, you know what would be great with conversation? Lunch! You buying?" she asks, leaning forward and crossing her arms, allowing her ample cleavage to show.

==========

Dahn donates five gold pieces to the minstrel.

"I don't think we are being watched now," Jocelyn says as she continues to look around.

Realizing that information will always cost money one way or another, and also that he could go for some food himself, Dahn orders a decent meal for for the two of them.
"Names Shades, Grey Shades." He says, placing his elbow on the table with his chin resting upon his fist.
"I've seen you a lot here lately. Odds are, you catch the chatter around here."

"There is no one around here?" Ouragana asks incredulously. "All the grain and flour in there must be worth a lot, so it should be watched! And the mill must be continuously fed with grain, otherwise it will get stuck, or so I have been told. That is very strange indeed."

She approaches the door and looks inside, calling out: "Hello! Is there anybody in here?" Though with her wispy voice, the call will probably not go very far over the noise of the mill.
