Liri glances at the badger for a moment, then says: "Since you haven't done your usual perimeter check, Maughus, I'll do it now. O'm already done with breakfast."

Liri walks around the camp, looking for any sign of disturbance. She is no expert, but a track is a track, even if she doesn't know who made it. she stays alert, ready to flee back to camp if she sees anything suspicious.

Deciding she has had enough Angel returns to readying Praesul, the big Stallion appreciating the attention.

After stretching her arms and upper body a bit while muttering to herself, Calah starts rummaging around in her things for something to eat. She finds a bit of something or other, eats a few bites, then nibbles down on a second item, all the while keeping more or less to herself.

Salia approaches the group, her hand clutching a small apple - a green one, probably one of those that smells sweet but has a hint of sourness to it and. Um
Salia using a small paring knife, cuts a hunk of apple and approaches Maughus' friend, and offers the wedge. Tossing it. The bit of apple flies in a precise arc, landing about four inches from the badger's snout. The badger looks up at the group, taking a moment to take everyone in. Then it advances to the wedge of apple. It takes a small bite, then gobbles it down quickly.
As Salia begins cutting another piece, the badger suddenly snarls and lunges at her. She backpedals quickly, dropping the apple, which the badger snatches up before running back to its burrow.

Angel moves towards the girl, mindful of her wound. "That was a brave thing to do, some might say foolish, but I would dissagee." The warrior approaches, saddle bag over her shoulder.

While Galanis smiled along the whole exchange, he is sure get concerned with the last bit of it and tells Maughus, "Watch over your pet. We can't allow it to hurt anyone of the group." But soon enough his attention turns back to the camp and his light mood returns.

To Angel, Salia says: "He was cute. And he meant no harm. Look how cuddly he was before we disturbed him. My mother used to tell me stories about badger and his friends," The girl says more but it is lost as Angel's saddlebag slips slightly, in the process twisting the shoulder plate of her armor. Adjusting the saddlebag so it sits flat takes up a large part of Angel's attention.

"He is no pet. Just friendly. He was keeping watch for me while I slept. A man cannot be too careful with Mister Dirtnap prowling about." Maughus' voice drops to a whisper mid sentence, as he says the name, then returns to normal.

The road beckons, and once breakfast is finished, it is time to travel.

Angel smiles fondly at the girl, "That's very... Ummm" she fumbles for the words.. "Sweet." Blushing she fumbles with the bag her hair falls over her eyes as she glances over at Liri.

"Come, the road beckons. Remember the offer sharing a ride with Praesul is always open... He can umm.. Take the both of us." Glancing around she moves towards the horse, hugging him tightly.

Having noticed nothing unusual, Liri returns to the camp. She smiles at Angel's offer, but declines: "Surely Praesul could, but then Casta would be jealous" she says as she mounts her mare.
While the others get the camp ready to move, she does a few exercises with the horse, and to anyone with an aesthetic sense, elven woman and horse are a graceful hamony of browns.

"Ummm." Angel stammers looking at the ground and not at the approaching Liri. "Liri.. I.." Flushing deep crimson she shuffles her feet. "I was suggesting that Salia could ride, but the offer is open to you too."

Liri laughs, a light musical laugh. "I'm sorry, you were looking at me so I misunderstood you. Salia, enjoy the ride."

Angel blushes a deeper shade of crimson, hiding under her hair.

"The wagon is fine." Hiric says, sternly. "Off you go."
Salia marches away and sets about packing up while Egg helps.

Once Salia is out of earshot, Hiric says to Angel: "Perhaps without my sister on your horse, you shall find it easier react if we are attacked again."

"Perhaps." The comment doesn't help Angels state of embrassement, "I will do my job. And you do yours." She manages to say. "Your sister needs to learn to protect herself, no matter how good I am, I can only do so much."

Galanis takes again his position in the Caravan flank.
