Noting Woody is consuming a potion, Jim waits patiently for a response to his question.

After the briefest of searches Sue and Darren find no evidence or remains of their unseen assailant.
"I'm not certain, but I think that might have been a kind of ghost," Darren volunteers. "Anyway, maybe we should leave this place now and then I'll see who needs some healing. We can always clear this place out on the way back."

I've noticed that Darren, not proficient in Religion, and INT bonus +0 would have had 1d20+0 on religion to identify the 'unseen assailant'.
That felt inappropriate so I substituted WIS bonus on the roll.
So, if I ask you folks to roll for something vaguely similar and you strongly feel that a different ability bonus should be used then shout out (with a decent reason why of course).

"Jim, it does appear to be safe. I haven't seen anything except this dead body. I picked up these bracers." Woody shows Jim the bracers on his arms.

The bracers seem to fit perfectly. Repeat of previous map. Ignore PC placements. No currently recognised threeat.

No luck Identifying their assailant by feel?

Jim takes a look at the bracers on Woody's wrist as he draws Jim's attention to them. "Looks like a perfect fit Woody, guess you got lucky!" Glancing at the body he suggests "We should probably have Sue come take a look at this body since he is one of the town guard."

OOC - Not sure on Sue's actual title, but Jim knows he is some sort of local law enforcement.

"Darren can you heal us now?"

"It will take some minutes*, so I was thinking that perhaps we should get back into the sewers first?" Darren answers.

A little later* Darren finishes casting Prayer of Healing. [PCs each gain +21HP, but not exceeding max HP.]

The party can choose whether the spell is cast in the corridor or in the sewers (having successfully bypassed the barrier that was blocking progress).

Jim calls Sue to come check out the body

"Sounds good. Let's go back to the sewers and find that meeting place. I'm sure it's getting late." " I'm fine with going back to the sewer for you to cast your spell.

Darren nods and, unless stopped, leads the way along the corridor. Pausing just long enough for Sue to examine the body, the group can escape the 'Hidden Webs' lair and gain the healing from Darren when back in the safety of the sewers.

"Jim, got a coin for a signal still? I'll be behind as usual, 30 to 40 foot. Darren you good with rear guard?"
