Fraso had been sleeping in the wagon, but has just awakened. He looks rather bleary as he dismounts the wagon and wanders off behind the villa to water the shrubs. He walks past the fire, pausing only long enough to say: "Tea" before continuing back to the wagon. His tone is sharp, and he does not even look at Salia when he says it. In short, his attitude is as it has been most mornings on the road, demanding and a bit grumpy.
Salia hurriedly prepares Fraso's tea, and Angel intercepts the cup as the child is heading for the wagon, bringing it to Fraso herself.
Fraso accepts the cup without thanks and sips it before saying: "This must have been a nice villa once, before it was abandoned. Funny how structures decay just like flesh, is it not?"

"Everything fades in time..." Angel mutters as she approaches Fraso, "My lord, it appears that we have noticed a strange... I want to say 'feeling' but that would not do it justice." Keeping her voice level she tries to ignore the way he treats Salia, perhaps he didn't actually see her?
"Ever since we collected the body it has been difficult to keep track of certain members of our group, yourself included, it is as if there is some kind of force surrounding people. It makes it hard to focus.. Could the spirit of the body transfer to us..? Is it possible?" She regards him with interest.

An odd look crosses Fraso's face, a panicky hand-in-the-cookie-jar expression, but it is gone so quickly Angel may have imagined it. He thinks for a moment and replies: "The remains we were transporting were just that. Remains. I examined them quite closely and found no evidence of a lingering spirit or presence associated with the specimen.
"Clearly, though, they were the remains of an individual of some importance. Important enough that his associates went to considerable effort to recover them...from us and then from the grotdier."

"I'm not imagining it my lord. There is something there." Pausing she collects herself. "Daos said when you first saw the body he was distracted, like he was unable to focus.. I felt it too, honestly I have never felt so... Curious about some armour." Laughing dispite the situation she continues.
"Sometimes.. I feel.. I'm distracted, like a flame or some pointless item drags me away." Looking straight over at Salia she adds. "Look at Salia, really look at her. I can't, every time I try I feel drawn to something else. I'm not imagining it.. You can see it can't you?"

"Perhaps it would be best, Gallius, if you concentrated on martial matters. Leave great mysteries to those best suited to dealing with them, no?" Fraso's words are delivered in a careful, even tone, but when he sees an angry look starting to form on Angel's face, he quickly adds: "If it makes you feel better, I did notice some difficulty concentrating when I first examined the remains. But the effect was temporary. Perhaps you were affected when you first saw our lost friend, and have not yet shaken it off?
"Come to think of it, the strangers following us on the road had a similar effect. Perhaps the effect was reinforced when you left the group to speak with them."

"Perhaps." She responds with a puzzled look, "I don't like this.. But I will accept it is out of my power." Standing she goes back to the cook fire and focuses on Salia once more.

Liri approaches Angel. "Did you have any look with the mage?" she asks. "And oh, have you seen Maughus at all?"

"He's hiding something. Told me to go back to Martial matters.. " she scoffs, "There is something and I can't figure it out. He said when I met with those people it affected my perception some how.. And the body must have been someone important." Looking around she winces, her shoulders twitching. "No I hhaven't.."

Galanis looks around somewhat bored. His equipment is already packed and oh the wagon, he looks around to see where can he help.

"I'll look for him while you get the camp moving" Liri tells Angel and walks through the camp and around its perimeter, asking the other members of the group if they have seen the ranger.

"Agreed." Turning to the group she seems to want to say more but doesn't, instead she walks over to tthe group. "Let's get this place packed up after breakfast. We have a long road ahead."

Galanis quickly helps Salia packing all the cooking materials, seizing the opportunity to finish the leftovers.

Maughus is sound asleep, wrapped in his blankets and using a saddlebag as a pillow, off to one side of the courtyard. He's not exactly nearby, but is within sight of the others.

Liri stays a foot or two away from the ranger and calls him: "Good morning, Maughus, you're missing breakfast"

The ranger grumbles something in the familiar yet incoherent language of sleepingese and shifts in place beneath his blanket without rising.
Then another part of his blanket, about a foot forward of where his belly should be, shifts again.
