Woody checks the Orb of Direction and confirms that the door on the opposite wall is southwest, so heading roughly in the desired direction.

Reasured, Sue moves closer to the stone cylinder with rounded top.
He sees four smooth, polished areas in a horizontal line.
The middle pair would be a good match for a pair on hands laid on it, palms open, fingers pointing up.
The other two shapes resemble small pointed beards, each perhaps the size of a thumb. The one on the left points to the floor whereas the one on the right points to the ceiling.

Having stowed the magical Orb Woody advances to the table.
The stiff, varnished cards are well made and show no signs of age.
He recognises them as playing cards favoured by dwarves where the backs show an artisit's impression of Moradin and the business side display dwarven runes.
These might be worth something to the right collector.
Their are about fifty coind scatterd around, none seenm to be dated more recently than three decades ago.

Are those polished areas in place where a name plate would be?

Satisfied with his thoughts. "Huh..." He goes to the door indicated by Woody and tests if it is locked.

Sue pulls the door open, ripping out some chunks of webbing from the mass beyond the door.

======
Intitiative rolls here, please, but with advantage.
Pulling open the door counts as Sue's "Interacting with the environment" and therefore one hand is empty (after releasing the doorhandle). His action/bonus action/reaction if applicable remain.

(Dis)Adv Init: [1d20] = 11 [1d20] = 8

Sue will draw his hammer and back up a few steps.

He will attack if something hostile enters.

Warhammer+1 - [1d20+8] = 7+8 = 15 [1d20+8] = 4+8 = 12 [1d8+5] = 7+5 = 12 [1d8+5] = 3+5 = 8

Round 1

Everyone moves, or starts to move, backwards.
Darren shouts out, "Set fire to the webbing. Lolth's creatures don't like that!" He prepares a spell.

***
Jim and Woody have a chance to do something or prepare an action [in Round 1] before anything bursts forth from the mass of dry webbing beyond the door way..

======
Initiative
Jim 21
Darren 20
Woody 15
Something else 14
Sue 11
Something 5

Something's Init [1d20+1] = 4+1 = 5
Something else's Init [1d20+2] = 12+2 = 14
Darren init [1d20] = 20
As the webs are really dry, intitial fire damage will prenetrate upwards, e.g. result of 6 on 1d6 means roll again and add.

As Woody moves back he will cast a flaming sphere at the door entrance to light up the webbing. Can keep creature at bay, maybe.

"Everyone move back, flames are coming."

Flaming Sphere concentration 1 minute: [1d6] = 5 + [1d6] = 1 = 6

Jim will keep back giving Woody room to work, keeping his mace at the ready.
(holding his action to take a swing at an enemy that comes within reach.)

Round 1
First to recognise the import of the webbing is Jim who moves back readying his mace.
Darren shouts out, "Set fire to the webbing. Lolth's creatures don't like that!" He draws back and prepares a spell.
Woody warns, "Everyone move back, flames are coming." He moves back to behind and to one side of Jim before producing a Flaming Sphere at the door entrance. "Whhooff!" [6 fire; (save failed automatically)] Ceiling, previously obscured by webbing, can be seen over the ball of fire. No webbing can be seen.

A spider swarm scuttles over Woody's arcane fire triggering Darren's Sacred Flame [#1, 3 radiant] and a successful mace smack from Jim [#1, 11 crush]
The greatly diminished mass of spiders swarm over Jim and try to eat him. [#1: AC16, 4 pierce]

Another crawling nightmare of spiders run alomg the ceiling and drops onto Woody. [#2: Dash action]
Almost before Woody can catch his breath Sue moves close and with unbelievable accuracy smears Woody's entire spider collection to pulp. [#2, 12crush, 8 crush; dead!]

Another clump of spiders [#5] runs along the wall from the north and scuttles westwards away from the magical flames.

"You good?" Sue will move to attack the ones that are not attached to anyone.

Woody moves to slam the flames into spider swarm #5 as a bonus action.

Damage: [2d6] = 9

Woody fire a firebolt at swarm #5 if it's still alive. If not alive he will pick one that he can target. To hit: [1d20+7] = 6+7 = 13
Damage: [2d10] = 9
