Calah says, "My recommendation is simple. While it is in the hand, treat it like a possible threat, since you don't know what it is. But once it has been tossed, forget about it. It is no longer part of the fight, no matter what threat it did or did not pose previously. Keep your mind focused on what you are doing, and what is to come. And do not let it draw you into exposing a vulnerability you would not otherwise expose."

Angel watches the display with a slight grin, Liri wasn't a straight out warrior, the situation had lead her in that direction by force...

"Calah could be useful, I see someone who I wouldnt mind standing beside her." The warrior unsheaves her blade, the elven blade glitters in the fading light.

Liri laughs. "Then I should better make sure I know my vulnerability, and train to shed it." She steps aside, and, in a quiet spot, begins to make a set of exercises that both test and showcase her agility.

Angel stands and approaches Liri with her sword still drawn, a soft cloth sliding up and down the blade as she cleans it lovingly.

"She has an interesting style, I might check her out myself." She gives the woman a sideways glance, "I enjoyed watching you."

Liri finishes the exercise, then turns to Angel with an appreciative nod to let her know she appreciates the compliment.. "Calah is a valuable addition to our group" she then says. "I bet she is very streetwise, too, something that I am lacking, at least."

"I'm not exactly streetwise, I stand out like a cleric in a whore house." Angel responds in a new uncharacteristic tone, "We all have our skills. Do not forget the confidence you have given to others."

Calah says to Liri, "I know little in the way of formal exercises. Most of what I do is by the practice of happenstance. Perhaps you could show me what you are doing, and we could work together to sharpen each other." Whether on purpose or by chance, she makes no eye contact with Angel as she speaks of what might be interpreted as testing Calah for herself and makes no acknowledgement of the comment.

"Forgive my rudeness. I have been on edge for many days, I will leave you too it." Brushing her hand down Liris side she turns away. "We will talk later my dear." She smiles and heads over to Praesul.

Galanis watches the women practice. Loughs as Liri is taken off balance but immediately stops at the looks he gets from all the women in the camp.

Calah tosses the pocket lint at Galanis, smiling fro the corner of her mouth despite herself and with a mirthful twinkle in her eyes, in probably the first small show of emotion she's made since she met the group.

Angel stands by the Stallion, stroking his side gently.

Galanis backs off, shrugs and promptly goes to reorganize his packs. "Women..." he mutters under his breath and shakes his head.

"Off-balance is the key," Maughus mutters, to nobody in particular, while sipping from a green glass bottle. "Best way to survive a stand-up fight is to be somewhere else when it happens."

Galanis' efforts at watching Salia as she prepares dinner - a nice bit of lamb, which smells quite delicious. If only there were fresh mint to go with it. So much better than mutton, lamb is. And fresh bread, too. Odd how bread wan't a luxury yesterday, in town, but here in the field it became a treat.

The night is, for the most part, uneventful save for a brief moment during Bastian and Egg's watch when the horses suddenly become agitated for a short time.

Morning finds Liri and Angel sitting in camp waiting for the others to awaken. Maughus, strangely, is the last to wake.

Liri and Angel had been sitting closely together for most of the watch, and towards the end of it, Liri suddenly says in a serious voice: "Angel, we need to talk."
She moves away a little, so she can see the half-elf in the face.
"I enjoy our private time together very much, and i deeply care for you. I hope you believe me when I say this.
But, what I do not like, is when you touch me when we're in public and there is work to be done. It makes me uncomfortable. I like to concentrate on what I'm doing, and when you're touching me, it distracts me, I feel I'm not able to to the things I'm supposed to do as well as I should. Do you understand me?"
