Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Sue sets to smashing more spiders with his hammer.
If his swarm is finished with his first hit he will start to help Woody.
Warhammer+1 - [1d20+8] = 2+8 = 10 [1d20+8] = 19+8 = 27 [1d8+5] = 7+5 = 12 [1d8+5] = 2+5 = 7

Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Ooc - if I read your posts correctly, Jim had 2 swarms on him. #1 and #3.
#1 was ki pushed off Jim and is on the wall beside Sue now
#3 was defeated by Darren's divine radiance
That leaves Jim currently free of spiders at the moment correct?

Correct, and both (#1, #3) are defeated. Sue and Woody have one swarm each, both greatly diminished. Darren has two swarms, both only slightly damaged.

Okay. Thanks
-----------------------
Jim will glance at Woody and Sue and see that Darren has the worst of it and will move to help Darren, open handed slapping the swarms on him.
To Hit: [1d20+8] = 11+8 = 19 , Unarmed Damage: [1d6+5] = 6+5 = 11

To Hit: [1d20+8] = 1+8 = 9 , Unarmed Damage: [1d6+5] = 6+5 = 11

Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Round 3
The largeest cluster of spiders swarms over Darren's armour, nipping but failing to penetrate. [#2: AC14 misses] Jim sees that Darren is sorely beset and moves to help Darren, open handed slapping the swarms on him. [#2: 11 crush; #6:, 8 crush, miss] Both swarms are greatly diminished.
On the other side of the room Sue despatches his swarm [#4: miss, 3 crush] the survivors running for cover. Nearby Woody crushes many spiders with his staff [#5: 6 crush] but the remainder continue to skitter and swarm over him.
Darren once more speaks he radiates bright light, enveloping all within the room but only burning the spiders. [DEX saves DC14;#2: 5; #5: 3; #6: 7; all fail so 3 radiant] Woody's swarm is reduced to crispy dust [defeated] and the two remaining swarms on Darren decide that's enough and they run away..
End of combat.
Darren looks around to see if anyone is bleeding.

Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Sue moves to the door and takes a look.
Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Sue looks into the room, something over twenty foot by twenty five foot with three exits (all stone doors). The odd spider here and there, presumably survivors from the recent encounter, are unlikely to present a significant threat. Key: 5' squares
Otherwise, apart from a long table of dark wood and matching chairs, another couple of chairs and a smaller table with chairs, the room appears empty.

Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
"This place never fails to surprise." Sue will do a little bit slower look around the room to see if there are any piles of stuff or bags obvious.
"Which way does our compass say?" He means Woody.

Woody want to investigate around the small table.
[1d20+4] = 11+4 = 15
"Let me see what that compose says." Woody pulls it out before investigating. Went puts it away after finding the direction.
"I'm not hurt but I don't have any Arcane Ward left to protect me."

Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Sue enters the room first.
Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Sue enters the room and looks around slowly. Apart from the already seen furniture, he sees a gray, upright cylinder with a rounded top in the corner on the right. It's about the height of a halfling on tiptoes. There are no other piles of obvious stuff to be seen.
Woody heads towards the small table. He sees some coinage, maybe a handful or two, and cards on the table. Both have spilt onto the floor.

Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
He will walk over to the cylinder. Look without touching first, then inspect it closer if it looks to be of interest.

Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Jim bloodied but not down by half. More like a third.
He pokes his head into the room the other two have disappeared into and softly calls out "There was a bit of a time sensitivity to this meeting correct?"

Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
"And we needed to go through that door, anyway." Sue looks up from the cylinder.
"If our compass wants to share which door is in our path, we should be able to get moving."
