Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Jim will watch/listen for movement while the other two see to the webs.
Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Jim looks on as Woody lights the torch and Sue then approaches to burn off the webs.
With glaive ready to cut back some of the webbing, Sue is somewhat taken aback as the webbing burning like very dry kindling, "Woof!"
There is a wash of heat and fume, but only Sue is significantly engulfed.
Some seconds later the air clears to reveal, beyond a one foot high threshhold, a stone chamber that's roughly ten foot square.
Anyone poking their head inside the room can see a two foot deep stone ledge running along four foot of the opposing wall. The ledge is flanked by a stone door to each side in the same wall. Looking left and right shows two more stone doors, one in the wall to the left and one in the wall to the right.

Dexterity Saving throw for Sue, please.

"Sue put out that torch." One the torch is out and cold down he will put it away. "What do you see in there? Should we go in?"
Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Sue will snuff out the torch and hand it to Woody.
"WOW, that was not expected. I don't recommend doing that. Does anyone have any healing magic available? I'd prefer to keep mine for when we are in combat."
================================================
I've been tardy adding my XP and HP to my status sheet. I will likely get to that today.

"Sue are you ok to move into the room? What do you see?"
Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Sue will move in. "Do any of these head the direction we are looking to go?"
Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
The Stoneof Direction confirms that the door on Sue's left heads northwest, the righthand door south east and the pair of doors flanking the table point to the northeast.. Key: 5' squares
Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Anything on the table?
Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
The solid stone table that sticks out from the wall appears completely bare.
Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Sue follows the stone's direction, and heads towards the Northwest door. Before going to open the door Sue pauses.
Looking for something obvious that might hurt him.

Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
Nothing obviously hurtful but there is a hand-sized area of polished stone on the right hand side of the door. It's about the same height above the ground as the two encountered outside. The other doors have similar areas.
Re: Chapter 2 - Getting to the bottom of it?
No handles then?
"Hey Woody. I need some of that heat."
