If the group attacks, then the skeletons climb down after them, Pyros will take that opportunity to smash in the target.
He will also follow any guidance from the Arcane Cleric.

Re: Act 2 Scene 3: “To 'Where the Old Bones Lie'” (Game Thre
[jerru did search, yes. and it's pretty clear the statue is too large for them to turn, even if iit had suitable handholds at the base, which it does not]
Re: Act 2 Scene 3: “To 'Where the Old Bones Lie'” (Game Thre
Jerry tries to shield endearing little Pyros with her body in case of stray missiles or 'shrapnel'..
Re: Act 2 Scene 3: “To 'Where the Old Bones Lie'” (Game Thre
Pytor examines the target as the group repositions. "I doubt a sling stone will do much to that large of a statue either. Unless they see something that we can't from here, it almost seems pointless. Flight arrows are just going to splinter upon the stone. But if I had a sheaf arrow with a metal broadhead, I may be able to drive it deep enough to start a crack."
The party has been here for a short while now. Does the ziggurat's shadow move in an odd manner with the daylight?
(Even though he can't use his full strength bonus with his composite short bow, regular bows allow up to 18 Str damage bonus of +2. Only exceptional strength bonuses require a specially made bow.)

Re: Act 2 Scene 3: “To 'Where the Old Bones Lie'” (Game Thre
[Mel, that’s true. I overlooked that on your sheet but have corrected it now. It seems everyone with a bow has only flight arrows, however. Also, short bows can only fire flight arrows not sheaf arrows apparently.
The shadow has not seemed to move with any unusual manner]
The raven statue turns as Mira and Adrastia lead the group back towards the northeast path that led them to this open area. Atop the Ziggurat, Jerry and Pyros are assaulted by the grinding sound of hard baked clay grinding against hard baked clay; rather like nails on slate this close. Perhaps fortunately for the group below, the statue’s turning keeps the faintly etched ‘target’ in view as the ominous black figure’s gaze stays with them.
Pytor remarks about sheaf arrows, but both Adran and Artanis shake their heads; neither of the other two bowmen having them. Merrick begins to spin his sling at the same time Elsa does while the archers take their aim. The volley of missiles fly, most hitting their mark. While the sling shots and arrows rebound off of the clay with various cracking noises, the missiles seem to have had some small effect, chipping away palm sized chunks of the surface from the force of the blows.
Immediately the four-dozen skeletons surrounding the statue turn in the direction of the attackers. To a one, they all raise their spears as if soldiers in a regimented military. The clatter of bone echoes through the dry canyon in lock-step like the crack of some titanic mousetrap. The undead on the lowest tier in view of those on the ground raise their spears as if to hurl them at the adventurers imminently!
Elsa lets out a quiet curse and swaps her sling for her holy symbol. Adrestia braces her Ranseur
[Actions and initiative please ^_^]
[Nocturno, dont forget to act for Cross]
[Mel, give me one free shot against the statue for Pytor please for prior to the action for the coming round. His thaco with the composite bow is 16 dmg 1d6+2. Target is AC 10 because it’s pretty big even though it is some 30 yards away]
====
Adran fires a flight arrow at the Ziggurat (short range, AC 10)
Thac0 19 vs AC 10: need 9+
[1d20] = 2, miss!
Artanis fires a flight arrow at the Ziggurat (short range, AC 10)

Pytor fires a flight arrow at the Ziggurat (short range, AC 10)

Adran miss, Art, Elsa and Merrick hit!
Statue Hit Ad, At, El, Mrk [1d6]=3, [1d4+1]=5, [1d4]=4
The Ziggurat is symetrical, so there are just as many skeletons on the side occluded by the isometric view as there are in the foreground

Do the skeletons on the backside also move the same as the ones on the side with the party?
PyrosInitiative: [1d10] = 10
Cross Ini: [1d10] = 5
Unsure of how to be helpful Cross will concentrating on watching the skeletons, and will call attention to anything "unusual"

Pytor looses an arrow from his bow to much the same effect as the other shots.
The gypsy shouts, "Find cover!" as the skeleton raise their spears in unison.
Pytor will look for the nearest available cover. Even if it is just partial cover, he will try to direct the group towards it while keeping himself in front of the cleric and bard.
Att [1d20] = 10 Damage [1d6+2] = 1+2 = 3 need 6+ hit
Init [1d10] = 4

Re: Act 2 Scene 3: “To 'Where the Old Bones Lie'” (Game Thre
If Jerry hears Pytor's shout, she has a look over the edge as to whether the skeleton on the left (RH side from party's viewpoint) are reacting/doing anything that they weren't before.
======
Jerry init [1d10] = 3
***
Trying to establish whether the skeletons om the four sides are a single cohesive force or whether those on each face are a separately-instructed sub-unit. Maybe Undead Hunter background helps here. (The mechanics aren't defined really, it just relies on GM flair & hand waving).

hard to say how they are grouped since none of them have started walking yet but only the ones on the lowest tier that have visibility of the party have raised their Spears as if to throw them.
Adding a map with different perspective for clarifiation. ALL skeletons are on alert now. those with red rings on their icons are preparing to throw spears. The black circle is the raven statue
1 square = 5 feet

Jerry remains still and silent as she thinks, "Maybe the undead will go back to 'sleep' if nothing happens for a short while. Then the group's missiles can knock a few more chunks out of the statue."

Re: Act 2 Scene 3: “To 'Where the Old Bones Lie'” (Game Thre
[is everyone basically waiting to see if the skeletons actually attack before acting then? (aside from Pytor finding cover and encouraging others to join him?)]
Re: Act 2 Scene 3: “To 'Where the Old Bones Lie'” (Game Thre
Cross will follow for cover.
"My only offense against this type of enemy will be a Burning Hands spell. But we will need them to be bunched up for that to be effective."

I would like to modify Pytor's action if allowed... He will scoop up Elsa, grab Mira's arm, then carry and drag them towards the front alcove.

lol, you can modify it some but elsa wont let herself be carried. also, she weighs a bit with gear, armor, shield, maces, etc
Jen informed me that she is away at camp for a bit, so I'll try to get a post up tomorrow.
can i get attack rolls for anyone wanting to fire back if attacked? (Cross, Pytor?)
