Seeing the group hesitant, Indendien speaks again. If we have enough rope, i will swim one end across.

"Assuming someone other than me has rope so we can combine enough length together I think that sounds like the safest idea" Jorderk replies to Indendien. "We don't need to chance loosing a person to the river if we don't need to"
[OOC - are there tall enough trees close enough to the river for Chitt to glide across the river safely?]

[Sorry, they are still far short with the rope. they have about 75 feet vs 60 yards]
Indendien shakes her head, We do not have enough. Shall we wade or swim? Or we can search farther upstream. suggests

"Wading is our best bet. Maybe we can quickly lash together a raft so my armour and our shorter friend can float across."

Indendien nods at the suggestion, That should work. I can craft such a thing if we find enough deadwood down.
Before long they find enough material for a small raft, including a large dried log the gnome could probably ride without alteration.

Jordek perks up at the idea of a raft "If I don't need to get all this leather wet then I'm all for it." As he's helping in whatever manner Indendien directs he takes a moment to address Chit. "with me on the river or glide across or stay put for now... your decision" he directs the squirrel's attention across the river to the island "we go there"
[If DM is good with it I will let you make Chitt's decision here]

Chitt sniffs jordek's beard, then scampers up around his shoulders then climbs into the gnome's hair.
Before long a small raft is crafted for their belongings, though likely not strong enough for the anvil. Elden unshoulders his anvil, adjusting the lashings slightly. He grins sideways, Well, i guess i have my own anchor... he chuckles.
[Will jordek ride the log or the raft?]

Nocturno will doff his chain and arrange it on the raft.
"Here we go."

As Chitt burrows into his hair, Jordek takes a longing look at the log... and with a deft check of his hand to ensure Chitt is properly situated he climbs on the raft. Looking at the others of the party he comments "No sense in tempting fate... fun as that might be"

Looking at Jordek, Nocturno will tie the chain to the raft with an left over from the construction.

Re: Act 1, Scene 2: “Into The Wild” (Group A: Main Game Thre
The group loads up the raft and prepares to enter the water. The bound branches and driftwood seem to stay afloat well enough in the calmer water near the edge. Indendien removes her bow and quiver, holding them above the surface of the water as she wades in. Elden goes next, carrying his anvil on a chain and testing the stones underfoot carefully as he wades in. Jordek positions himself on the raft, which Elden holds onto tightly to keep the current from dragging it away.
The water is cold at first, especially as the group wades in to waist-level. As the waders cross into the more rapidly rushing water, the pull of the current becomes more severe. Chitt nervously shifts, looking this way and that, gripping tightly to Jordek’s hair as the makeshift raft rocks. The water splashes against the side, spraying the gnome occasionally but fortunately remaining afloat. Elden, anchored by his anvil and even holding the raft as he is seems to have no trouble against the current. Indendien likewise navigates the waters easily enough…

Strength check for Nocturno please
Elden strength check [1d20] = 4
Pass, easily

Nocturno manages easily enough against the current, reaching the center with the others. Deeper into the river they go, the water now up to the chests of the waders and the raft rocking much more violently on the tumultuous surface. Indendien wavers slightly as the stony shelf underfoot turns downstream towards the small island. Elden continues to move, anvil dragging the riverbed beside as he grips the raft securely..
