Echo grins lightly to Hollidan as she assumed that was him agreeing to helping her out. "Yeah, I can keep him hidden," she said before she turned and led the kobold back towards Hollidan's tent. "So you're going to have to stay out of sight until morning, so just stay in the tent, okay?"

"Oh, kind and wonderful man, me be very good, me promise," the kobold says to Hollidan. "Me very good at hiding, me hide in tent; nobody find. Me, promise," he says, bobbing his head up and down.

"Ugh," Hollidan responds. "Better bring it back in before anyone else sees it then."

Echo snickers softly at Hollidan's reaction. "Thanks," she says before she leads the kobold back to Hollidan's tent.

"Oh, happy day!" the kobold exclaims. "Maybe mistress give me scraps from leftovers tonight? Me hasn't eaten today."

"Mistress?" Echo asks. "You can call me Echo, and I can give you some of my rations I guess," she says.

"Oh, Mistress Echo give me munchins and crunchins this night? Is very good day! Best day in years!" the kobold says, eagerly slipping back into Hollidan's tent with her.

Echo shakes her head as she slips into the tent after the kobold. She digs out her rations, and hands some to him. She only had so much, so she had to be careful with them. "Do you have a name?"

"Me called Keet. That what other kobolds call me," he says, wolfing down the rations quickly.

"All right, Keet. Well, I need to get some much needed rest before the morning. You should probably do the same," Echo says as she moves take up the spot she was laying down before so she can get some sleep.

Fortunately, despite how hungry he is, Keet doesn't eat all that much of her rations, likely due to being so little. He bobs his head happily then curls up on the ground not unlike a cat, and quickly falls asleep.

Echo watches the Keet fall asleep before she falls asleep herself.

The following morning Echo awakens to find Keet is already up, peering out of the tent carefully, squinting in the sunlight. He quickly pulls away whenever he sees someone approach.

"Be patient," Echo says to Keet as she pulls out her spellbook to study (Magic Missile). "We'll meet up with Hollidan, and then speak to the Pharise in a few minutes."

"Okay," Keet says. "But me was looking for talking bird. It visit tent last night. Very talky. But no see today."

"Talking bird?" Echo says, looking up to Keet. "What did the bird say?"
