Locky fires two more pellets, aiming now for the multiple Shrooms. Both stones hit different Shrooms, but they merely vanish into thin air as if they never existed to begin with. There are now only three Shrooms left. Looking into her pouch, Locky would note she now only has one pellet left.
The Shroom finishes casting another spell. Locky and Babushka can see him sprinkle some kind of metallic powder around him as he finishes. But whatever the spell did, it wasn't very flashy. Nothing visible happens.
Suddenly, Jerrard bursts in with a battle cry, Ulster at his heels. Having conquered his fear, he is ready to face the Shroom and its henchmen. But he stops short. He cannot see anything beyond Ulster's torchlight. Without a target, he cannot direct his spell!
What's more, the light from Ulster's torch ruins the girls' infravision. Now they can no longer see the Shrooms or any of the podmen save the one grappling Babushka (as it is within 15 feet of Ulster).
The Shroom(s) laugh, their voices echoing throughout the cavern. "What fine targets you've made yourselves with that light! Ah, and the wizard again. I thought you had potential, but you are just a mindless dog of the Conclave. No matter! None of you will leave here alive!"

(OOC: Breila, picking up the staff will take up an action. Babushka spent her action last round firing her sling. She can choose to pick up the staff this round, if she wishes, but it will use up her action to do so. That's just the way of turned-based gaming, I suppose.)

The Sinister Shroom casts another spell. The results are not immediately visible.
Jerrard conquers his fear and runs in. He cannot cast Magic Missile, however, at the Shrooms, as he cannot see the Shrooms in the darkness.
Ulster hurries in the room, still bearing the torch. This ruins the girls' infravision.
