What a pair they'd make. If Solostaran would be upset at Laurana running away, imagine how he'll feel when she turns up again next module with a gully dwarf in tow!

So, with some new members in our group, how does a new marching order sound? Any suggestions? We've got Tanis, Tas, Flint, Sturm, Riverwind, Goldmoon, Caramon, Raistlin, Laurana, Magpie and Sunstar.

(It boggles my mind the size of this group. And it will only get bigger as the game progresses!)

So who should go where? Raistlin's staff is the only active source of light at the moment.

I should mention that the range of Raistlin's staff's light is 60 feet, not the standard 15 like a torch.

Yep, it WILL get bigger!! Why the split the group in the novels i guess.

Laurana will go near the front, Sturm is content to be at the front, OR cover the rear, Tas should be infront so lets assume he uses the ladder. (Kafen is busy right now, as is Mitilis)

So how about:

Magpie and Tas up front.
Tanis and Laurana follow.
Caramon and Raistlin in the middle.
Riverwind and Goldmoon next.
Sturm and Flint covering the rear.

That just leaves Sunstar as the odd one out. Where should we put her?

This tunnel is about five feet across in diameter, so the party can walk two-by-two, although it's a bit of a tight fit.

And as I said, the light of Raistlin's staff extends sixty feet in all directions. So will everyone stay close, in the light? If we try to put the ones with infravision beyond the light, that means they have to be at least 60 feet ahead of them, which is quite a bit.

I figure Sunstar can hang with Raistlin and Caramon.

Riverwind and Goldmoon
Sturm and Flint

yes, I'd figure the plainsfolk stay together, at least until Sunstar and the group get to know each other better.

Goldmoon sure doesn't mess around, huh?
