Re: Borderlands II - This is the game thread
As attention turns elsewhere and she's no longer being prodded with questions, at least at the moment, Calah settles back in her seat. Her face bears a slightly amused semi-smirkish smile, as if she's enjoying this process. With Galanis's attention on her, Calah turns her head to look at him and says, "You look to be pondering the deeper mysteries of life. The meaning of it all. Where we're all going. The best ingredients to make a nice fluffy cheesecake. That sort of thing." Her otherwise dark, enigmatic eyes take on a momentary mirthful twinkle.
As Calah looks at Galanis, waiting to see how he responds, if he does, she thinks to herself, "He seems to be good natured enough. Simple enough to be taken at face value. Probably shouldn't be running with scissors, though. Might need to occasionally be reminded."

Shaken by Calah's remark Galanis says, "Hmm.. yeah, I was distracted. Cheesecake and stuff..." he smiles. Glad to see Calah out of her barriers he decides not to push it and keeps silent, turns his head to Angel and waits in anticipation, leaning back on the table. After six years serving with other warriors on different kind of missions he got used to people looking up to him, but even so, he never really felt above the others.

Bastian chuckles and slides a drink to Callah. "You have certainly earned this!"

Re: Borderlands II - This is the game thread
Calah takes up the drink, relaxing a bit with a smile that shows a growing sense of mirth. "My thanks," she says simply, as she takes up the drink. She takes a small sip, enough not to be rude, but minding the potential of the drink to dull her senses.
Re: Borderlands II - This is the game thread
Galanis looks at Bastian thoughtfully for a while then seems to make up his mind, "Hmm... I know that in such interviews the questioning are usually coming from your side," he says with an apologetic smile, "but it seems like there is a break in the questioning and I'm curious about the symbol you wear. I think I once saw it during my studies, by the looks of you, you are a priest. If it doesn't offend you, can you please tell me about it and the god you worship?"

OOC: I'm not sure if Liquinus suppose to be famous, but also if he does Galanis knows that priest just love to blabber about their gods
and he might learn something new.

(He has to look up to Angel, she's over six inches taller than him!)
Angel leans back in her chair again, time would tell if these others would work out well.
"Master Fraso, could we talk in private?" She asks as she stands heading over to the wizard. If he agrees she takes him to a quiet corner.

"By all means, Gallius," says Fraso, rising from the table, but reaching back to retrieve his wine cup before walking away.

With Angel gone, Liri gets up and stretches gracefully. Then she picks up her cup, and noticing it is already empty, bends over to get the pitcher to refill it.
Sitting back, she raises the cup and salutes everyone: "To the company" she says. "And thanks to Liquitus, who gave us people the insight to brew this."

Calah raises her glass and again takes a small sip, sets it down, and settles back into her seat, watching the gathering with calculating, assessing eyes.

[OOC] Well, since Ish and HS haven't chimed in... [/OOC]
Papa takes a pull from his mug, places it down noisily on the table, and speaks up for the first time since the meeting began. "We ran into some rough folk before we arrived in town, and might again. What do you folks bring to the party, if you ride with us?" His voice is stern, and a little disapproving, but that might just be his default.
The northerner says: "Mayhem."

Re: Borderlands II - This is the game thread
Before Bastian can reply the conversation turns. With a knowing wink and nod to Galanis (A promise to speak more on the subject later) he turns his attention to the matters at hand. If these individuals were going to be aiding him in the immediate future, it's best to know as much about them as possible.
((OOC: UGH! Work is BRUTAL right now! We lost a supervisor, replaced him, and then the replacement stopped showing up! Now that we have someone new to fill in, the store manager has gone on vacation and left me in charge for a week. I appologise for any delays on my part!))

Galanis is startled by Papa's intervention in the conversation. After hearing Calah, and smiling at the northener answer Galanis says, "Well... loyalty as you could guess from the story I told before, cunning, and strength... a lot of strength."
Re: Borderlands II - This is the game thread
"Loyalty, cunning and strength... that sounds promising" Liri remarks at Galanis's words. Her tone reveals nothing, but the look in her eyes asks "can you live up to these words?"

"If I were looking for loyalty cunning and strength, I could get a big dog," the priest says. What skills do you bring?"
