The dwarf marches on, in good enough spirits to banter back and forth with Locky for at least a small while. By lunch he's undoubtedly nearly pulling his own beard out again in exhasperation, grumbling into his breath with every other step.

If she notices the reaction she doesn't let it show.

The day passes uneventfully, and eventually the sun sets. Babushka manages to find a clearing for the party to make camp in. However, the party's water supplies have now run nearly dried, even with the rationing. This is something that will need correcting, soon.

=============

It is now Twelfth Watch.

The party's current movement rate is 6.

They have traveled 0.3 miles in 1 day. Their destination is now 49 miles away.

Fikod cocks his cross bow, sauntering up to Babushka as the henchmen set up camp and Jerrard presumably prays for spells. "I've a powerful thirst, me gnomish friend. What say ye find us a nice rocky pool to sup and I watch yer back all the while?"

"Yes, I think we have to do that" Babushka agrees. "Jerrard, can you check if it is safe to use this waterskin?" she asks the mage, passing it to him as she unloads her backpack, she's just taking her weapons with her.

(Isn't it full already?)

(It is full, yes, but it could well be evil and poison all the water someone puts into it, or something like that. It's magical, after all!)

Spellcraft: 1d20=14 Pass.

Jerrard sniffs at the liquid inside, and determines it is a potion that temporarily increases the fighting skill of any warrior who drinks it.

=========

Jerrard makes a spellcraft check [15] (1d20): 14, pass. He determines it is a Potion of Heroism.

"The potion is best for a warrior, it boosts the skill of one for a short time." The mage explains as he sits down in the grass, the pearl running across his fingers.

"We might want to keep that for later then," Imani says. "Babushka, Fikod, go ahead and search for some water. We are going to need it," she says. "The rest of us can finish setting up camp, and Jerrard can use his spell to figure out if the rest of the stuff we found is safe."

"If I could have the other items first." Jerrard asks, reaching out a hand for the Bracers, and collecting the items in a pile.

(Does his temporary increase in level mean he can identify 6 items? if so he will do the two suits of armor, then the sword, the ring, the Bracers and finally the mask.)

And spellcraft on the remaining potion Locky has: 1d20=15 pass.

Locky helps set up camp, she will heal the group after the two scouts return as she remembers what happened last time they went for a forage.

Babushka and Fikod scout around for some water, and as luck has it, Babushka manages to find a small forest spring where they can refill their waterskins.

Meanwhile, Jerrard casts his spell, consuming the pearl he bought from Larenth. As he touches each item, the knowledge of what it does floods into his mind from nowhere.

He determines the two armors are both weaved with protection enchantments, making them more effective at keeping their wearers from harm. The long sword is enchanted to be very effective against dragons--particularly green ones, the natural enemies of the kirath. The ring is a sacred object to the Silvanesti. It has numerous powers, all that can only be utilized in the dark, which include conjuring lights, balls of lightning, and magic meteors. The bracers are enchanted identically to the ones Jerrard wears now, but only with a much more potent protection spell. Finally, the mask is a way kirath protect themselves from noxious fumes, like those of their enemies the green dragons.

The spell ended, Jerrard is left exhausted. All of the strength drains from his body, leaving him quite helpless.

==============

(OOC: Jerrard already tried to use a spellcraft check on that potion once before, and failed here. He cannot try again until his next level up.)

Babushka makes a survival check [10] (1d20): 5, pass. She finds a source of water.

Jerrard casts Identify, consuming a pearl. His CON drops 8 points, and he loses 7 max HP. His max HP total for now is 22. This fatigue will be cured after resting.

The elven sized leather armor is Leather Armor +2.

The elven sized studded leather armor is Studded Leather Armor +2.

The long sword is a Green Dragon Slayer +2. Against true dragons, it grants a +4 to hit and damage. Against green dragons, it deals triple damage. Otherwise, it's an ordinary +2 long sword.

The ornate ring is a Ring of Shooting Stars.

The bracers are Bracers of Defense AC 4.

The spooky elf mask is a Kirath Greenmask. When worn, it grants a +4 bonus to any saving throw vs. poisonous gas, noxious odor, or really anything that does harm by inhaling it. This includes magical effects, like a Cloudkill spell or a green dragon's breath weapon.

Once camp is set up, Imani sits down and looks over to the exhausted Jerrard. "What did you find out?" she asks.
