Toru's expression remains completely neutral, as always. "I am skilled in the martial arts. I have led men into battle. I am a warrior," he hands her the water, "but not a servant."

"Why do you say that?" Midnight asks, her full focus not on the man. "And thank you."

"Captain Gelpas truly chose you to lead the task force against the bandits?" Toru asks, evidently requiring further confirmation of this fact. Being asked to fetch her a drink was bad enough, but now she wasn't even paying attention. "What exactly is your plan?"

"Yes, he did. Sorry I was looking for someone. She might have information we need." Sighing she sits back, "One I thought you were getting something, two I know how to survive in the wild, I have lived by myself for many years. And three, I was the one who stepped forward."

"That is all well and good, but does not answer my question," Toru says. "I have not been briefed on this mission. All I know is that it involves the bandits. That's why I followed you here, to learn what the mission is."

"I was not aware of that." Midnight replies flatly, "We are going to go to where the captive Bandit told us where the camp is.. We go, we find, we do not engage them, they are too many." She explains sipping the water, "We go, we report, we come back."

"I see," Toru says, his hands behind his back. "A reconnaissance mission. Then you know where the bandit camp is located?"

"Where the bandit says it is... It is not known for sure, why no one is planning a fill scale attack just yet." Glancing around she looks for Mary. "My charge knows of them, she might be helpful."

"Understand, I do not talk to people often..."

"The bandit? Your charge?" Toru asks. "You captured a bandit then? And interrogated him?"

"We fought a group of them, all but one of them were killed." Giving an evil grin she continues. "Gelpas interviewed him.. He got him to talk." Her voice raises in volume. "And my charge was held by them."

The monk takes a moment to digest this information. He then asks, "Then where is your charge now?"

"Just what I am trying to do. Find her." She responds a little too harshly. "Sorry, she is.... Hotheaded."

Toru tilts his head in thought. "She has gone missing...and you are absolutely certain she was merely held by the bandits...not working with them?"

"If she had been working with them it would have been through fear." Tapping the table she sighs. "Could you help? I need to find her... The shop first. But could you go looking?" Looking into his eyes she pleads. "She's young, short Brown hair and Brown eyes... The girl is far too skinny."

"For the sake of this town, I hope you are right. Otherwise, she now has valuable information on our defenses that she could easily give to the enemy," Toru points out. "I will attempt to search for her."
