Yep, I was thinking something similar.

I love playing Angel, she has so much character to offer, I hope the others feel the same about their PC's... Do we still have another waiting in the wings?

Also, quick heads up, working away from home from Weds till friday, I have a Laptop and Portable apps, so... I'll be about but limited.

Actually, Jen, I was under the impression that you did much of your posting on a portable device. I thought that was the reason for the Unexplained capital letters which Sometimes occur in the middle of your sentences. :)

As to having characters waiting in the wings, we have Talyn, who was going to send me a PC but I am not sure at the moment whether I ever received it. And I just got a PM from Breila.

Frivolous was unhappy with the amount of action and the slow pace in the beginning of the campaign, and chose to withdraw. I asked her to keep in touch, and to rejoin if things got more to her liking. I am going to keep her PC on as an NPC for a while in case she decides to come back.

Breila would be good :)

As for Talyn, I have Colitions sheet on my desktop if you need it. ;)

Oh and Laptop is works... i'm using it for work while i'm away (inspecting the Eurotunnel terminal in Folkestone)....

Please send Talyn's sheet to me when you get a chance, Jen. I don't think I ever got it, or if I did, I lost it.

And be careful down in that tunnel. That last time I saw someone poking around in a tunnel in England, Christian Bale awakened the dormant dragons which then nearly destroyed the world.

JadedDM wrote:"The cold would slow down the decay process," Daos agrees. "However, unless the corpse and the ice are contained in an airtight receptacle, the ice is likely to just melt. There's also the matter of how we would obtain ice this time of year."
(OOC: What time of year is it, anyway? I assume it's not winter, at any rate.)
It's early summer, like June.

As to where you might obtain ice, you might want to try looking in the icehouse, for starters. :)

Hey guys, sorry I vanished on you. I flew home from China not too long ago and ever since I've been wandering around the ol' USA. I went out to see a friend get married and I did so on the greyhound. That's the reason for my latest absence: I've been on a bus for over a week now....

I may have completely forgot to mention this here.... heh heh. Sorry about that.

I'll be boarding my last bus today and get home late tomorrow night. I've got one last trip to take on Saturday, and I'll be home by Sunday.

Greyhound - great way to see America. And by "America" I mean "corn". :)

I have a slightly delicate question here I'd like to pose before it gets "virulent" (if it ever does).

In the tavern, we've come to an agreement of how we treat character sexuality in our role-playing, and that's fine. But what about the biological consequences of sex?

In the tabletop campaigns I was in, the DMs kept tables of the female character's (PCs and NPCs) cycles and rolled dice after each sexual encounter (or night couples spent together in privacy), resulting in two or three babies to be born...

So, Stik (I think this has to be decided on a campaign basis), how do you handle this? Would contraception be available in your world, and how is determined if it works or fails?

There is a net book on this to be frank.

Interesting why you ask the question!

It actually comes around a lot, i have one PC in a sexual relationship who bought potions for that sort of thing! Although there is a cantrip for it too..

Oh, in case you didn't realise, Angel is homosexual...

Oooooooooooooooookay....
Well, let's look at it this way:
I've been running the original Borderlands PBMB campaign since December of 2006. In that time, something like three or four months of game time has elapsed. At that rate, should a PC conceive it would be at least a year in real time before the player found out about it, so there's really no need to make any hasty decisions about this question. :)

That being said, the art/science contraception is not a new one. It was widely known in the ancient world, even back as far as ancient Egypt (believe it or not, one method involved half a lemon dipped in crocodile dung and...well, nevermind. Look up yourself if you want. :) ). In the years following the Black Plague in Europe, information regarding contraception was systematically supressed by the Catholic Church so as to promote repopulation, so much of the knowledge was lost to most people in Medieval Europe.

Borderlands II takes place in the Aerdy Empire, which resembles ancient Rome in most significant respects, so you can count on a similar level of knowledge/availability of such matters. In other words, it is a non-issue.

Of course, you DO have a priest of Cronus in the party. You know, Cronus, the God of Fatherhood. HE might have a problem with it...

What about the hiatus in the middle? lol.

Right, Angel / Salia on her horse, Longsword & bow aren't really riders weapons (hence the mace). Can Salia ride? If she can Angel would dismount and leave her on the horse, she'd have the advantage of height over any attacker, and Praesul is fast.

Otherwise she'll return her to the wagon, then engage.

Order.. hmmm.

Elias 50ft in front, Angel to the front of the wagon, Liri and Bastian either side, Doas to the rear, protected by Magnhus.

Any thoughts people?

Marching order sounds fine, if the path is wide enough. Unless Bastian is left-handed, Liri would take the left side, she has darts as first weapon where handedness doesn't matter as much.

If the path is too narrow, Liri and Angel in front, the men in the back?
