The grinding melee continues, time beginning to run out for the unconscious injured... The captives and their assailants clatter ineffectually against each other. Jordek sneaks up behind one of the heavily armed goblins, but his daggers have trouble penetrating the makeshift bone armor. His intended target wheels around, cutting the Forest Gnome badly in return! Fin says a quick prayer to enchant a trio of stones with magical essence for a short time.

Goblin chief Wrolk and his guards move to surround Nocturno as he battles the orc in front of him. Blinded by his rage, the Elf strikes down his opponent and the blows against him are turned by his heavy armor! Linar snipes one of the attackers from the shadows, killing it instantly! Katten’s aim proves true as well as yet another arrow shaft penetrates the Cheif’s defenses, staggering and nearly dropping him! Keel Eeet!! He barks to one of his personal guards, who peels off to engage the Felis ranger; interrupting her second shot.

Katten steps back and draws her blade, the heavy longsword hopefully striking the foolish creature that dared attack her.

Findalsip moves up and hurls all three magic stones at the Chief.

Jordek leaps upon the back of one of the goblins attacking the captives, injuring him greatly! The guard staggers under the blow, dazed as he lashes out ineffectually. Chief Wrolk lands a tremendous blow against Nocturno, enough to stagger even a hearty fighter. Despite the wounded warrior’s bloody countenance, he seems completely unphased by the attack!! [magical temp hps reduced]

Katten draws her sword and slashes deeply into her opponent, nearly sending him to the ground in a single blow! The goblin turns to run and the Felis’ swift sword ends his miserable existence. Seeing the tides begin to turn, the orcish archer flees into the dark down the nearest passage. A moment later, the Priest of Smooth-hands sends a stone into the temple of Wrolk Axe-bender. The Crack! of rock on skull rebounds through the natural cavern as the Chief finally falls. A collective shudder passes through the remaining goblins and those able flee to the South and East into the dark in utter desperation. Only 2 guards remain, embroiled in the melee with the captives; a stalemate that seems destined to come to a head…

"Help Wounded. We guard, kill all who come." She states in her usual broken common as she drives her blade into the creature.

Relieved of their own opponents, Katten and Nocturno charge towards the back of the two remaining goblins. Almost as one, twin longswords strike down the vicious guards. Sabil cries out in surprise at the abrupt end, but her shock is short lived as she drops to her knees desperately trying to stop the bleeding of the white-haired half-elf. Tears well in her eyes as she whispers the name Anthir over and over. Jordek joins her and properly bandages the man to stabilize him. We got to him in time. He is stable now and will be ok, but we will have to have the others help carry him out, ok?

Fin moves beside the fallen Minotaur and speaks a quiet prayer of healing. The large bull-man stirs with a low groan, groggily sitting up and using his swords like canes to help himself stand. Thank you, friend... that was quite the battle... I see the Chief is dead. Good. Groggily he stabs the corpse a few times, leaning into the sword as it punches through the armored goblin. Just to be sure. He grins grimly.

For now, at least, there seems to be a brief reprieve in the fighting...

The others... one of the captives says tentatively. There are at least as many more still chained up. I.. I think you got all of the guards watching them already..

With the chief dead Katten grins her toothy grin, searching his body before getting herself ready.

"Take villages back up. Make them safe. Take Wounded. Who come with me to find others?" She licks her wound as she prepares to go In deeper, taking the leaders weapon as proof of his death. She wanted his head but that would scare the villagers.

"I will, but first."
He will cast cure light wounds on Katten, then Cure Moderate Wounds on himself.

With a lull in combat Findalsip will use his healing NWP on those that are wounded but not down. He will first use a CLW on whichever party member needs it most.

The group takes a moment to patch themselves up, though it is clear they took quite a beating in the ordeal. Both of the Gnomes healing the Drow slightly, getting him steadier on his feet though bloodied Nocturno heals both himself and Katten, the armored Elf and Forest Gnome both about the same as Linar at this point. Katten remains the most hale and hearty of the group, the ranger bearing only a small mark or two. Bull leans heavily on the wall, as does one of the captives.
