How close to the city of dead are we? Reasonably close enough to witness some "leakage" of spirits? Or does this not scream that?

They slay those who try to eavesdrop

You're about halfway between the City of the Dead and the Sea. That's not very close at all. Nothing here is obviously undead.

Sue will approach them quietly, and look at their faces.

Sue approaches respectfully and studies their faces. They seem very earnest and have reached the muturity at which such near-immortals appeare ageless.

"Sue this is all I have been able to understand."
"I can't really tell what they are saying, but I did understand the following (things that we must tell.... Important things that those who...)."

"I heard some common and some Elvish."

Jim will approach and will respectfully listen.

"I think it's time we move on the get some rest."

Sue puts up a finger as in, let us just wait 1 more minute.

He will concentrate to see if he can understand anything.

Watching, but speaking to his friends.

"This is what I got."


[Orcish] "...ordning shattered by annam, the all-father. Doom...", [Halfling] "...and despair shall visit all small folk unless..."
If permitted, Sue will move closer.
If it is apparent he won't hear anymore, Sue will start to leave.
