"Creature hurt my friend, you want to get bits? It not like deer." She scowls, pacing and shifting from bare foot to foot.

"No, not like a deer at all. I believe it was scales that were mentioned. Non petrified ones at that." Jordek says. Turning to the Feliz, he continues "It hurt your friend, we kill it. The scales may assist with helping convince others to assist us with the larger goblin dens. Two birds and one stone kind of thing. We are going after the basilisk anyway, to kill it and not use the carcass would be wasteful. Waste not, want not!" With a brief haunted look flashing across his face, he finishes "That is lesson I learnt well. I'll not be forgetting it.

Indendien and Dellinanth nod in agreement with the gnome's words. Forest brother is right. The lizard seems no different than a wolf or bear that catches another creature lurking around its den. We will kill it, and restore Dillosel if we are able. But, once killed, to let it rot away in a stone cavern does no good. At the least its body should feed the forest.

Dusk begins to turn to night as Nocturno sets his mule to graze nearby. Dellinanth rubs the animal down with some freshly crushed cedar green. To mask his scent a little. If we are lucky the warg patrols may not find us.

When Dellinanth puts forth the idea of waiting till morning, Jordek pipes up "I agree with Dellinanth. Though perhaps for other reasons. I confess I am just about out of my spells for the day. I won't be of much use if we go after the beast tonight."

Indendien nods and the wild elves do their best to make the camp undetectable.

We'll keep this thread for the Basilisk portion. I have some bookkeeping stuff to take care of in the private threads, but it shouldn't take too long. If there are any last-minute things your character needs to do before the end of the game day, now is the time.

The two Sylvans will keep watch while the party rests. Anyone who wishes to can join in and take a short shift as well.

Katten will take a watch, and patrol when needed.

Nocturne will take rest as needed. He will then offer to keep watch before/after his prayers.

The night passes peacefully enough and the group awakens in the early morning.

Rising next to Dran Katten streches, and draws her blade, finding a quiet space she begins to practice, the weapon making arcs as she moves gracefully.

Jordek wakes and heads in the direction of the nearest underbrush to burrow himself into the foliage and begins his prayers while Chitt heads up the closest tree and takes a lookout perch on a branch.

OOC - I'll have a list of chosen spells for the day up here before the end of today. (Aiming for at least)

As the group finishes their preparations for the morning, Dellinanth motions the others to silence. Soon the sound of heavy footfalls crunch-crunch-crunching across the gravelly trail can be heard coming from the East. The source of the sound becomes apparent as, of all things, the figure of a minotaur comes into view! At first thoughts of Garroth spark but it is immediately clear that this is not he, for thick White fur can be seen where clothing or equipment does not cover the figure. The minotaur pauses some few paces up the road, testing the air with his snout...

Everyone welcome Dargon to the joint-portion of the game!

Dargon, feel free to give a better physical description of Bullock, and to include one in the "Bestiary (PC Physical Descriptions)" thread as well

Swinging her blade one last time, the heavy weapon shifting in her palms as Katten reverses its path, placing it deftly in the scabbard on her back, rising up to her full height she watches the path, her prominent ears twitching with interest. Her dark fur is barely covered with the light green halter and brown leather skirt, her whiskers flick out.

"Walk like Ogre, whole forest heard him coming. He not think he silent." Katten mumbles in her broken common, eyeing him suspiciously.

A Large White-maned Minotaur standing right at 8 feet tall sniffs the air catching the scent of..........mule? He wears a large leather dwarven style kilt around his waist. Two broad swords rest at his sides as well as a pack on his back. He tilts his head to the side and scans the forest area for movement and abnormal colors.

I perfect Goblin: If you are looking for an easy mark, you should really try some place else.

As he draws 7 feet of Furbolg forged steel from his back, in the form of a Giant-kin Two Handed Sword.

Show yourself, whether you be Friend or Foe.
